Don’t cut it down yet. It looks like cobweb mold, which is treatable with peroxide. Can you get a closer picture to verify?
Airflow and humidity are the best 2 factors to manage when faced with mold of any kind.

I am not familiar with it. Is it only external and does not affect the interior of the bud like bod rot?

It usually just appears on the surface at first. Peroxide will dissolve it instantly. If it is advanced then it also becomes impossible to treat just like other molds.

Step down below that about 4 inches and cut it off. Pull the mold out and cure any not affected. Then spray mold with Athena Cleanse or any similar product containing Hypochlorous acid.

Spray a dilute mix 5:1 water:peroxide. It will kill it instantly so maybe 2 applications will be all that is needed if it is isolated to the surface of the bud.

So just put peroxide right on mold on bud
Did it dissolve the mold? It should have. If not, then it isn’t cobweb mold.
First I would cut that area out carefully. Bag over it and seal with say duct tape. Cut and remove.
It does look like cobweb mold. So here is something to ponder. If I cooked you a steak to your liking and dropped it on the ground. I then pick it up and put on your plate. Do you eat it? After all its been “cooked.” You can rinse it off but can not put it back to the flame. Do you go to town on the steak?
Me? Nope…that steak would go to dogs.

3 second rule applied to the steak. The floor where my grill is is clean enough to eat off of.
Cut that bud open and see if it is inside.

I just cut it out twice the size, it’s almost ready to harvest anyway

I smoked the last one bud that had some on it from last summer harvest just pulled it out with my fingers dried it and then smoked it. It was great
I’m having steak tonight, if it drops - it’s on between me and the dogs!! Hope it works out bro!!
I sprayed it this morning and after looking over plant and getting all sticky found a couple more buds with it on them sprayed them to will check back in a little while. I also believe it is almost ready to harvest. Probly monday I’m off work
