@Bamarayne
Sweet set up
Do those 100w lights penetrate well though?
If you do get lights now would be the time with the Black Friday deals coming on
Thanks.
When you stack them up like this they penetrate wonderfully.
They are no different than the larger spider farmer lights, just more pieces. I ended up with so many because I’m on a fixed income and had to get them over time.
Gorgeous looking grow you have there !!! Nice fat colas ,nice and even sized great work
Thank you!!! @dbrn32 talked me through it from the time she was just a wee weed lol. Tickled with how its turning out!!
Download the photone app on the play store free for android may be a cost withiphone this app will tell you how much light is reaching your canopy for the amount of hours you are running the lights.
Greetings…I’m definitely not a lighting pro…
I bought a Mars Hydro FC-E6500 and it is the Absolute Best light I’ve ever owned.
It covers my 4x4 completely.
I looked at Spider Farmer and compared with the Mars Hydro…
Mars Hydro had better overall coverage. It also has adjustable light bars, dimmer switch and the ability to locate the drivers outside the tent.

Good Luck with whichever light you choose.
Thats the camera i use. I turn on the app choose the kind of light from the menu( i find that the natural sun setting is most accurate and simply hold the phone above the canopy. The app will tell u the ppfd but i have it set on dLi and you can look at the readings on your screen as you check various areas of the canopy.
@DirtBug
I have been treated like a joke at spider so i looked at the mars site and found just what i was looking for.
Thank you for the heads up
You have more than enough for a 3x3. I would probably run these at 75 watts per board in full jam.
Yeah, Green Beams was outstanding. HLG lights for a fraction of the cost. The owner had health complications and his son couldn’t keep it running solo, is my understanding.
KingBrite lights are the next best substitute, but you can only buy em off Alibaba which is kinda sketch feeling. The 240w was my go-to, it had the best pricing and range of spectrum availability.
If you can spring a little extra (or have money on Friday during the sale), HLG lights are still the current king of lighting. The price per watt is lower than many brands, and their heat output is a fraction of the cheaper alternatives.
@Graysin @DirtBug
Thank you for your responses and input.
I already pulled the trigger on this one Graysin before you poasted.
Hope I don’t end up with buyers remorse.
For a 3x3 you’ll have ample coverage with that light, shouldn’t be an issue.
@Graysin
Cool
I’m hoping to be able to go over the sides a little beyond 3x3.
I now have 4 mother lights so i can rock some of my photos
Your very welcome.
You’re going to love Mars Hydro lights…
My yield was hovering around .5 gr per watt with HID.
My yield on the first run with the Mars Hydro light it jumped to .73 and now with some fine tuning I’m getting almost 1.5 gr per watt…
Have fun and experiment with the light bar placement.
Happy Growing
Very nice light you won’t be disappointed mars puts out solid equipment
