I don’t know much about that brand of lights but I do know that hlg lights are what most on here. I just got an email from them about their croptober sale, 25%off sitewide.

While that light appears to be a great light, the price makes me VERY suspicious. Good LED grow lights typically cost about $1 per watt.

I don’t know anything about that product but proceed with caution and do your due dilegence. :vulcan_salute: :man_mage:

So what would be main things im looking for?? It says it draws 1k watts of power full spectrum and has a decent ppfd map

I don’t have any commercial fixtures, all of mine are home built so I really can’t provide much useful guidance. I am always wary of things that appear to be too good to be true.

@dbrn32 or @OGIncognito among many others may have some useful insights for you.

Or i do 2 of these but thats only 400 watts then… if my math is right i need about 975 watts. My room is 6.5 x 5

I’m not light guru but I do know to run the Samsung diodes.
The first light no.
The second light you posted is running Samsung diodes :+1:t2::green_heart::metal:t2:
Also with multi light you can adjust as needed not just 1 big light

I will tell you that I wasted over $1000 on poor quality lighting for my 7’ X 8’ grow room. Ultimately all of the poor quality lights are in a box collecting dust. I spent over $2000 and now I have built some excellent lights that produce tons of buds.

So it would be better for the second even tho its less wattage?

SF lights work well, have 2 and soon to add another and get the 4x4 set up, and religate the 2x4 to starters and drying.

I have designed a built quite a number of LED grow light fixtures from 175 watts to over 1000 watts per fixture.

Not saying that, just bringing your attention to the diodes :green_heart::metal:t2:

Do you have plans or do you sell??

No, I just make it up as I go. Look at the offerings at Rapid LED if you want to purchase a “kit” that you can assemble. I am just an old, retired EE growing for personal use. I don’t sell lights or buds. :man_mage:

I actually purchased one of the RapidLED 5X5 kits and added more COB’s and drivers to get the wattage to what I needed. I have also built lights using EB strip LEDs and using puck style LED arrays. When I ordered the “kit”, I modified the components to suit my needs.

Edit: Here is a photo of the 5X5 frame before I doubled the number of COB’s and thus the wattage and light output.

You can see one of the poor quality lights still hanging there.

You still need the wattage so get enough units to light area that you have. Lighting a large grow area is expensive! That is just part of the deal.

Maybe 2 of these.

Agreed, that would light the OP’s area.
