Awe, thank you guys, it’s my pleasure.
Here is the latest. You’ve all given me fantastic assistance! Pots still feel a little too heavy, so I’m holding off another two days. The plant I’ve “bothered” the least is my biggest. Lessons learned.
I’ve added a humidistat as well to keep humidity at 65% (not setup in these pictures).
What did you get for a humidity controller? I was looking at a few last night thinking about all that vapor pressure deficit stuff.
I started reading it, then realized I’m not there yet. I’ve overwatered them twice…baby steps.
That’s the one I was looking at and am going to pick.
How’s the autopot functionality going? I don’t really know much about them, but do they auto-water the plants?
No clue yet. The roots aren’t low enough, and I was waiting for the soil to dry.
Once i water again I’ll add to the reservoir to see if there’s any wicking. Guide says hand water for 10-14 days, but I’m scared to show up in that tent with water.
my dehumidifier has a minimum humidity setting, and my house has a humidifier. so i set the house up and then pull it down for my grow
inside the tent is always higher humidity than ourside. but im planning a more sophisticated design that keeps the rh perfect
Looking good buddy. Your on the way now.
Yup looking much better. @raustin is the noob whisperer
The noob whisperer! Lol, I like that.
Here is the latest. I’m mostly comfortable with where we are. I have not fed them anything at all since November 14th. I’ll admit, restraint is not my strength. I’m going to wait to activate the Autopot feeding reservoir until they all reach the sides of the pots. I was going to feed them each a quart tonight around the edges as recommended by @raustin, but after feeling the soil, I can still feel a very small amount of moisture deep down into the pot.
Anyone have different thoughts?
If it’s still wet, then wait to feed.
So here is the latest. What was once a runt is now doing very well (bottom left one). I’m a little concerned about the top right one not doing very much, but maybe it’s doing what it needs to do after all and I simply can’t see it. I finally fed them last evening 800mL each of 330ppm 5.8pH. The bottom right one is doing the best, it was the one that I drowned the least!
I think I’m seeing some yellowing on one of them, and it’s my only Dutch treat CBD girl in there. The rest are all Black Indica. Our tap water comes in at 80ppm, so I’m wondering if I should be adding cal-mag too, or leave it all alone. Coco coir/Perlite mix.
This is my yellowing girl (Dutch Treat)
This is my new “runt”
This “was” my runt

Am I imagining things and being too newb again @raustin?
You can give them some Cal Mag, I would add it with every watering. Their soil does look a little wet, you’re not overwatering, are you?
I gave almost 1 quart (800mL) to each last evening. First feeding since November 14th, and the pots felt light, not wet at all. All the coco/perlite was “fluffing” when checking for moisture. I guess it’s possible that I’m still overwatering, but the medium didn’t feel what I would have called moist. I could be wrong too. Should I just leave them this time until they’re starting to wilt? Tent humidity is set to 60%.
P.S. I’ll order some cal-mag stuff tonight.
A quart seems like a lot for such small plants, just let them dry out for a while. What soil are you using, again?
Oh, coco. Never mind, i’m stoned.
As soon as these Autopots kick in I’ll be so much happier. LOL
Oh, you’re using autopots. I’ve never used them.
I guess technically I’m top feeding for now until the roots establish themselves and the autopot thingy will do its thing. Part of me wants to start it so the roots follow that “smell” of food at the bottom. I think the front right ones is likely there.
I’m not sure, but I think the roots have to be longer.
