Spotted this today and thought it was light burn or nut burn. I just raised up my lights and turned them down bit.it was over 830ppfd Went down to 600 the lights were close due to the stretch was at 12in now at 17in im running hlg scorpion. been feeding jack 321 3.8/2.2/1.2 ph at 6.5 and week 3 of Flowering this is only showing on 2 of the 6 plants in the tent
Im new to growing but 800 ppfd during flower seems good if not a little low. I run 600 ppfd during veg. Not right away but within a few weeks and i have had no issue with light burn. What’s your runoff ppm. That should tell you if you’re over feeding her. In curious what your runoff is. In about to switch to flower soon and plan on pushing 1000 ppfd. Another thing i would check is your leaf temp. Maybe the light is to close
Looks like nute burn to me. Just curious, what’s the EC of the nutrient solution going in?
@Outlaw 2.4 what jack 321 should be
I’ll give them water for the next few days and start nuts back with a lower ec.i guess these plants are can’t handle a full feeding…or should I be mixing jack and dropping ec down to 1.5-1.7?
Today will be day 21 of my current grow. Well, day 21, 18 and 14 technically. Had some trouble getting beans to pop. I started off around 450 EC and will be at 1050 (1.05) today. I’ll go up about 50-100 EC every watering until I see some yellow on the tips or full strength, whatever comes first. I’d probably back it off a little if I were you.
What’s your input and run off PH Growmie? 1st assumption resembles a Potassium deficiency. Your feeding PPMS are high enough to be supplying this and wondering if PH is preventing absorption??
Good point. That discoloration does look to be creeping back from the edges. Can’t really see any of the tips of the affected leaves too see if they’re burned.
@OGIncognito had to recalibrate my pen I noticed it was off 2 feedings ago at 7.3 but last feeding two days ago runoff came out at 6.7…so I’m running Foxfarm soil going in is 6.5 now that the pen is fixed
The plants that had burn were feed 2.5 ec two days ago and today runoff was 1.2 idk
The 2.5/1200is PPMs and EC isn’t bad, your water source tds could be pushing that outside the 1000 range?? I would water feed at 6.5 to a decent run off, catch a sample after about a cup has ran out and test PH and PPMs. Let’s see what some new numbers look like and adjust from there
My water is 180 ppm
I think maybe i didn’t let that plant drop below 1000ppm before feeding and it pushed her to hard
If you didn’t factor that your nutrient PPMS are around 1000 so I would stick with that for photo periods and reduce that a little for autos. I’ve ran a good bit of autos over the last 2 years and in my opinion 850-900 works better. If I start noticing a deficiency and know my PH is in range, I’ll bump that up. Easier to correct a deficiency than a toxicity or PH issue
