As a 23/yo new grower, I don’t have hardly any experience with old school lights or how different light setups require you to change your work area accordingly. I have ‘full spectrum’ 20 watt LED lights from Wal-Mart as pictured below.
How far away from new sprouts should this light be hung, and do any experienced growers have any pros/cons that may accompany these lights
Does anyone have recommendations for another affordable LED option if this is deemed inadequate?
You’ll be able to light a seedling with that light. I’d put it at 18" or so.
You’ll need a better light to flower a plant. HLG has a new light that is 200w and is a good cannabis light for 1 plant for a pretty reasonable price. I can’t remember the name of the model offhand, but someone should come along who remembers what the name of it is.

I also have a little cheap led light for seedlings and clones. I hang them about 8" above the ground. With clones I hang them as close as I can get. They aren’t hot so that’s not a problem.
That light will cover the first 2 weeks, will need a lot more light after that.

Lol I actually do need another light. I’m good with the 1 hole though 
I’ve been eying it too.
Light selection depends on the size of the grow space that being said that 200 would rock a 2x2
It sure would, would also do great as a veg light in a 3x3 and 2 of them would be great for flowering a 3x3.

Hey everyone new to here an half to growing indoor I recently got a g g 600w led grow light full spectrum an I’m not sure how high hang about fresh seedlings cause box an everything says 600w but the driver says 60watt so I don’t know weather hang for 60w or 600w lol
