LED burning my buds to death

I have a burn issue that I can’t figure out. No matter how far away I put my lights my buds and leaves are getting scorched badly. I have a 10x10 grow tent. I have tried a variation of LED lights from Aglex 2000w down to Phlizon 1000w LED. I currently keep the distance from the canopy about 50 inches. I have tried various angels with direction of the lights. I tried reflecting them off the walls for an indirect lighting. I have moved the plants to the side of the lights so there is no direct lighting. I am frustrated. All the pistils keep burning off my buds and the leaves get brutally scorched!!
Room temp stays about 80 and humidity about 55. Fans pulls 850 CFm through carbon filter. I have 3 clip on fans circulating air through the tent

Yeah; need pictures in natural light. Please no blurple.

Exactly what soil?

What exactly are your nutes? Specifically what is your schedule and amounts?

TDS is really high for a soil grow FYI.

I have tried three different soils.

  1. Bush Doctor
  2. Hand mixed; 50% peat moss, 30 staylight, 10 worm castings, 10 cedar
  3. A mix between the two 50/50

Nutes are General Hydroponic’s FloraGro. Using their feed charts and feeding when I water. Which is done when the soil gets dry.
3 gallon pots and I water about 1/2 gallon each time

From the pictures you provided, I don’t see any burning.

Do you have a total wattage and breakdown of lights?

Why did you choose this soil mix?

Better pics and I am sorry but they are purple

That’s nutrient burn and N excess and magnesium deficiency.

I agree, definitely not light damage. You see the long gaps between leaves and buds in this pic

That’s actually indicative of not enough light. From looking at your plants, I believe @Myfriendis410 is on right track. I also think your leaves are showing a vpd related issue, but the temp and rh you listed don’t appear terrible.

That looks weird. My first thought was a lockout, but your pH and PPMs aren’t bad. Are you spraying your plants with anything? Problem kinda looks like it’s coming from the top. @Kjruhl

Everything @Myfriendis410 said makes perfect sense. Those are certainly nutrient issues on the leaves. While I’m new to cannabis growing, I’ve been cultivating delicious jalapenos for years, and have seen my share of nutrient issues. While the temp and RH are within reason, it seems a bit off when looking at the below chart. I posted this image in another area. I am new to the forum, and growing cannabis in general. Just thought I’d share this info.

Yeah definitely not a light issue I would cut all nutrients out for a good week and see if you get improvement, if you stick your arm under your lights at the top of your plants you should feel warmth but no burn/heat just for a quick check are you using a soil based hydro nutrient you might be mixing a bit stronger than you need to less is more almost everytime
I mix my grow nutes at half strength and my flower at a little less than what they recommend as soon as I started halving my grow nutrients my plants never looked better

Absolutely agree with @Myfriendis410 and @dbrn32 about nute overload and lack of light. Would also like to add that the root zone is probably not very happy, 3 gal. pots are the minimum and on the small side and maybe some wind burn too but not likely. The people here are the best and their knowledge unsurpassed. You are in the right place so heed their advice and stay frosty my friend. Good luck!

Good point! Small root bound pot size will definitely affect plants like this too.

no spray of any sort

thanks guys I will start a flush tonight. I was concerned about the upward turn of the leaf edges. I have some big lights which is why I thought burn damage. I have three 2000 watt LED and a 1000 watt LED inside the tent but they are tight against the roof of the tent
@Myfriendis410 why the soil choice? well the quick answer is that my son works for a nursery and gets it cheap. why the unique mix? Peat Moss- its a mushroom peat moss and all organic. Staylight is basically perlite but its limestone/granite shakes, good for air gaps. Worm Castings… organic nutes, good stuff but not too hot. Cedar…bugs hate it! I also keep marigolds in my grow tent for the same reason, bugs hate them too.

The bush doctor is loaded as is. It comes ammended with all kinds of organic awesomeness bat Guano, oyster shell, kelp meal, aged Forrest humus and some other good stuff. You might be overloading her with the extra nutes to soon. I’ve heard great things about the Philzon lights though. They put out a lot of lite.

oh I only mixed it once for a couple pots just to see the results. the other stuff I buy by the truck load…literally. I get 1 to 1.5 cubic yards of it at a time.
