Late veg preflower transplant

Question for the experts, experienced, and anyone else that wants to help out. I am planning on transplanting my bloodstar from a 5 gal to a 7 gal fabric pot. It is past time to flip to flower but I am not in a rush…which is prolly why I need to pot up. Root mass for her is the real deal, no give when I press down on top of soil and I can feel them when finger checking for moisture. She’s a big girl, and is showing signs of distress. I am also treating for root issues.
What soil would be good to use for this transplant? Is a FFOF/Happy Frog mix too hot for this late in the game? This is my first grow and this is a new one for me

If u want something with no nutes to low, transplant in a coco straight or coco happy frog mix. You may have to feed more often but i bet it would work great.

I’ve read over and over again, do not change medium or mix mediums, especially if they’re already fortified with fertilizer. If it’s straight soil then use straight soil (top soil) if it’s mixed with perlite, vermiculite, or any other additive keep those ratios the same. To play it safe, use whatever matches the medium best and make sure it’s NOT fortified with fertilizer. Different chemical compounds for the same purpose can and DO conflict with each other, never switch purposed brands, always follow the mfg. recommendations if they’re not too ambiguous as I’ve discovered many are. I mfg. my own from raw, high grade, food grade, purified, compounds. I tend to go over the top when I feel my chain is being jerked.

Thanks @Shatter and @Axemanjake23, along with some advice from some peeps at my journal, I went ahead and used the same medium.
