I have a Fat Banana auto in week 5. It started as an experimental micro grow to see if my MIL could grown one on her window sill. That being said she is in a 1 gallon fabric pot with 3L of coco and she looks absolutley miserable, just unhappy. Could i transplant her, coco and all into a 3 or 5 gallon pot of soil? Or will it not even matter at this point of the game?
I would recommend atleast a 3 gallon fabric pot for coco. More lighting as well. Cannot see the picture but im assuming its leggy. Ppfd is reduced with glass.
I figured more medium would be beneficial, my question is whether or not it can be transplanted at this point or would it do more harm then good.
Depends on you. Transplant dont bother me, just use caution. It would be bad if your ripping roots and causing shock. Make sure soil is more on the dry side b4 u do, it will come out easier. If paranoid, slice down the sides like a banana to remove. Sure other people would say not to transplant, but is worth the risk.
I wouldn’t recommend a transplant on an auto if it’s been 3 weeks or more above ground. Flowering on healthy autos generally happens around weeks 4-6 and a transplant could stall the transition reducing the plant size and early bud development
She still needs those vital Macro and micro nutrients. Phosphorus and potassium are critical for bud development. There’s very little phosphorus in that fertilizer you’re using. Luckily that’s a super small plant that’s getting by on what you’re feeding
For the record, your in a fabric pot, you can just set inside another one, the roots will grow through as long as there is no light or air. Told you others wouldnt lol. I dont see the big deal if its normal habit and used to it. I guarantee they would never know if i did. The plant is pretty small, at this point not going to help much. Stretch is over.
