Germinated two ILGM Do-Si-dos seed 24 days ago all went well. put them in peat pellets. 2 days later the broke surface. Few days later put them I quart peat pots with ffhf. After a few days growth stopped they didn’t die wilt or anything just stayed the same size. Today I put them in there forever home. In that time not a single root broke through the mesh bag of the pellets. I’ll give them a while longer but not hopeful.
What’s your temps and RH? For seedlings you should be around 78-82 with 65-70% RH and a lighting DLI around 18-20. Several things needed for a seedling to put down roots
Peat pods often stifle roots. They don’t biodegrade as quickly as they imply they do - I would rip the bottom off the peat and see if she makes any meaningful progress without that barrier in her way.
Top of soil looks pretty wet.
They where on a germinating mat set at 76 degrees. With humidity domes
The roots never made it to the peat pots they never broke through the mesh bags of the peat pellets
Just transplanted them and gave initial watering with ph adjusted water about 15 minutes before pictures
You could probabky still use the humidity dome at that size and skip normal watering for a few days.
My first auto flower grow and my first grow in a tent
12 days old I feel she is behind in growth
Plus her color throws me off
I’ll try that thanks
I second that. I actually take the netting completely off the pest pod before I put into a larger container
Peat pods suck. I’ve used them in the past for all kinds of plants. They don’t break down. I’ve pulled outside plants where my wife used those for flowers, and after several months the peat pod was still intact. I’d never use those for cannabis.
Yeah , I’m not a fan of the pods at all. Hard to beat seed starter cups with seed starter soil or happy frog.
We’ll I took some of your advice. I pulled the seedlings out and cut away the mesh bag on the pellets. No roots where visible gently broke up the peat still didn’t see any. So with the peat loosened up a bit I replanted them. Two days later they have doubled in size. Lesson learned.
Glad to hear that without the peat in the way, they got themselves sorted.
When I use them i pull the cloth off when i plant.
Sorry I’m late to the party. I use them as well for seedlings and clones. Before planting I take a razor blade and cut about four or five slits down the side for the roots to have easy access. Good luck happy growing and have fun
