That’s them. Jacks dead bug is what I used. Never really eradicated them. @Budbrother put me in Beauvaria Basssiana when I had white flies. That stuff worked! Get on em now if you can.
This the stuff here?
Was thinking about callin in the shooters
Anybody ever use beneficial predators?
Thats it. I got the liquid. Its pricey but a little bit goes a long way. See if @Budbrother chimes in. Or @Caligurl they will know better than me.
It never worked for me either. It is just control and not eradication. The BB is awesome. Spray once a week and the fungi kills them and turns them into a host. Safe up to harvest.
Edit: if wanting to add the predator mites then the population must be managed (2x 7 day applications BB just before lights out) first with BB so they can be the cleanup crew.
So treat with BB 1x/week for 2 weeks (the one I posted looks fine?) And then follow up with the predators? Bet. It does seem to be spreading but not out of control quite yet… see how fast this stuff can ship
Yes ever 7 days so the fungi can work undisturbed. It’s my main IPM and no need to rotate because there’s no immunity. I use every 2 wks and done. I also add neem cake to the amends
Buying it right now. That’s a high endorsement.
We use botaniguard and nofly
Gotta alternate between the two in your ipm schedule or they get used to it.
Then there is Azagaurd. We combine it with zerotol 2.0 and sprenches with it starting at the lower 1/3 of the plant into the soil. That stuff messes em up good. Cant become adults ![]()

This is the best sign of thrips I know.
Before you go spraying any of this stuff or handle any of it please mask up, like a real spray mask.
Get filters for paint and organic vapors
Personally id wear at least poly sleves and gloves when spraying, even just a lil.
Rotating is not bad, but you’d have to have a vast and sustained, multi generational, infestation for even a small population immunity to be possible. Even then BB fights back against their host immune system. This co‑evolution makes long term, population wide immunity less likely to fully block the fungus. So rotating as an insect prevention couldn’t lead to any type of immunity.

100% that.
So I just ordered the 1lb botaniguard bag. When I get it should I suspend all other sprays for the time being, and just do the BB 1x/week for 2 weeks? I just sprayed the f*** out of them with Zyme’s before lights out.
I wouldn’t spray anymore with others if your BB will arrive quickly.
Do you use the BB on your cactus too? I just sprayed mine with PureCrop1 this morning because I found a few thrips and freaked out LOL.
All healthy looking, upped to .8 ec for the seedlings. But need to deal with the thrips because growth has slowed and new leaves aren’t unfurling from the damage. But I’m getting the nutrition right! First big rockwool grow so happy about that, the timing had been tricky for me before.
God what a turn for the worse… this was my best grow yet and I SWEAR this always happens. Some unidentifiable issue that seems like pests or pathogens that NOTHING seems to solve. Feeling very frustrated yall. Idk what else I can do. My SOPs this time around are super strict and this still happens
a guy is feeling like giving up. I mean they look worse today after the major Zymes treatment.
Just waiting for the BB to show up but the place i ordered from has been unresponsive in customer service.
Just wondering… Have you got a fan blowing air directly on those? Kind of looks a bit like wind burn… ![]()
I got this liquid off the zone. Showed up in a few days.
I do have a fan directly on it but have the whole time too. If you look at her 4 days ago vs now… Hard to think that would be it right??
5 days ago she looked happy. Is that when you started the spraying? I would suspect that might be the culprit. Id back off spraying until you get the BB. I was only applying it every 2nd or 3rd day.
