Journal 4: More Light

Tell you what if you think they are worth the price and will save me time and effort then I’ll invest in a 4 pot system that can fit in my 3x3. I wont lie to you it would be nice not to worry about hand watering them and to have a res that can last me longer than a few days. If you can hook me up with a trusted source that would be awesome since youre experienced with them.

Smart man, I wouldn’t have figured it out lol

@nicky I see the are ones that come in squared shaped pots which size do you recommend?

Autopot XL, round one’s, spring pots.
Autopot Canada is your best bet. Straight to the source.

In your 3x3 you cna run 4 pots but it’s a tight fit. I would suggest buying the the 25 gallon flexi tank, put some glue on the peggs when you install them into the flexi tank so they stay in if you find them a pain like me.

I’m. Sure you have closer stores to you online like the stuff in Ontario and stuff but just so you know my store (does online orders) is the red deer grow shop (google it will come up). He’s a supplier and does alot of online stuff, he’s got alot of the legit licenses and is register distributor for tons of companies including autopots, spider farmer, AN, gorilla tents and more. But of course I just walk in the store.

Thanks @Nicky appreciate it.

So ideally id like to grow 4 plants at once so do based on your experience will that be doable in a 3x3 or will it be too tight?

Am I looking at the right thing here?

Also the tent is in my bedroom so I wonder if the 100 liter tank will fit in my room just fine. I guess its mostly the height

@Nicky so the pot, tray and the flexi tank. What else should I add to the list from the accessories or things that I need to complete an auto system. I’m not experienced with autopot systems so can you give me a list of things I should order all together for the system. I think I might get it from autopot canada. They don’t have the 100 liter tank so I might look into your grow shop for that.

Buy a 4 pot spring pot system and a 25 glon flexi tank.

Then make sure you get some extra hose. That’s it.

Comes with a bag of fittings and some hose.

Don’t piece it together it will cost more. This way you’ll have a backup reservoir you can “flush” with if needed or mix up when you need to vaca and someone can just pull the plug on the big one when it’s empty and plug in the small one that comes with the kit will give you more time.
Or at the end of your grow you can easily run 2 days of water through them before darkness

Thanks a lot @Nicky I think this is what I’ll go with. I’ll have to look for the flexi tank somewhere else online

Stop no not plastic get spring pots!
Trying to help you here ash lol

Sorry Nicky im ignorant when it comes to this, I thought spring was the name or model or something, wasnt aware it was the texture, let me look further then

All good buddy.
They used to partner with “smart pots” but wasn’t worth it because of the cost so they had a fabric pot maker make them their own fabric ones called
Spring pots.

I don’t know if rain science makes any mesh ones that match the diameter because @Hellraiser has me wanting them and now @Bulldognuts is going thst route to I just need to insure they fit first so I emailed them today.

Ahh I see, I guess I’ll have to search harder for them here in Canada. Unable to find them except in the USA

@Not2SureYet is on top of the fabric pot diameter too. I need to order some for my XL.

You might want to check rain science once we know the diameter.
Heck B should get some of those so he’s not tossing pots every grow!

@Nicky thank you!

Do you guys think this one is having nitrogen issues? I see clawing in the fan leaves.
@dbrn32 @Myfriendis410 @Hellraiser @Not2SureYet @Nicky

Also any idea why I usually get one side of the main branches shorter than the other side?

No it’s not dark enough green… Unless those LIGHTS ON pics are hiding it form us (very possible)

You’re right @Nicky its not dark green enough. I wonder what else could this be.

Do you think the height issue related to the main branches not being even could be related to light coverage? I only have 1 qb kit not 2 yet

Not sure. I get it on mine sometimes to, and mine that currently have had that issue do have a little bit less light by 124w. It’s possible they just arnt getting enough light to feel perky but I woudltn worry about it to much.

In my case when these plants roll off out of my tent in November I’ll decide if the buds are telling me it needs to be more light.

My raise was 100$ more a day sooooo maybe I can squeeze a new light in there if I really need it lol

@Nicky Fair enough! I’ll be adding more light in the net couple of weeks. Im ordering an HLG 260 and a UVA this week. Aiming to give them 580w max in my 3x3 so plenty of light. That will also help with coverage.

That’s a nice raise! Congratulations buddy
