Join My Cannagar Journey

Howdy ILGM folks. Hiya old friends. I am jumping into cigar making.
I would like to invite everyone to come with me. I am jumping in the deep end with zero knowledge. Everything was gleaned from tobacco and cannabis sites so here goes.
First buys.

Flower is Hindu Kush and Mendo Breath. Both solid. Both right at 63% mid cure.

I took some consistent sized tops buds. Placed on the skewers alternating strains.

I filled in the gaps with bud to make a nice full stogie. I intend to coat both sides in a couple of days with hash glue I am making.
Hash glue.
I had a BEATIFUL Jack Herer that produced small. Was a disappointment but now it is lemons to lemonade.

Dry Ice sifted the whole harvest. Didn’t weigh it but from experience it appeared to be 5 zips or so. Even with a small yield it was LOADED with trichs. The sift was a coarse 1 at 220 and not the 3 grades I normally would pull. Of course I loaded a bowl  .
Went to the liquor store and snatched some everclear.

The hash is a greener shade than I would smoke but it is all going to RSO. A little taste wont affect it as a glue. I chose to sift THEN make rso because it takes less Everclear and is much cleaner than a full bud wash. I can let it sit in freezer overnight without worrying about a ton of chlorophyl and contaminates. I will use it pretty wet and allow the small amount of solvent remaining to dissipate during the 3 week or so cigar cure. Will all go away leaving no taste I am hoping. As mentioned, this is the trial run.
Leaves.
I have been taking fans and placing in books. They are dry and I removed them and placed in a package to rehydrate with wet paper towel. Nice and flat. I pulled more and booked them. I figure at least 7 wraps. Maybe less but will depend on where the first wraps end up.
I need a suggestion on this part. Should I do 2 Tobacco leaf wraps as final or trust the cannabis leaves. The mold will lock down everything nice and tight but full tobacco wraps are very durable.
Hook me up with some insight folks so I can order tobacco if i go that way. I will do this slow. 1 wrap down and 1 up. 2 days sit. Repeat. Hash oil will glue each layer. Kinda scared about the potency…lmfao.

I have no shortage of fans.
Well this is a project at the starting point so will be updated as each step is accomplished.
PLEASE chime in suggestions, warnings, things I am missing etc. I am learning to swim by jumping in the deep end no floaties.
Thank you for looking and hope you folk will travel this path with me.

In the cigar mold is the plan to glue (hash oil) two pieces together to make one big fat cigar?

No mam. Each mold has a single cigar. The oil is to bind the extra flower I used to fill in gaps. The press will hold them pretty good but the oil glue will guarantee it. As I wrap each layer they will go back in press for at least 2 days then next layer. The wrapping leaves will be held on with the hash oil.

I’ve made Thai stick a couple of times. They come out really nice but I’ve always had a problem trying to make the hash oil. I always end up having to utilize sugar water to make everything stick. I’m anxious to see your process of the hash oil. I’m excited

This is an interesting concept ill be watching intently

Hash is in solvent. To the freezer it goes overnight.

So wait you put your hash into the ever clear??

I would maybe do the final wrap in a tobacco leave just to really hold it all together

@The_Cannabowlist , since you’ve made cannagars.
Hope all is well, haven’t seen you around for a couple months.

Yessir. I used to make a lot of RSO. A LOT. At 1 point I had a 4x8, 4x4, 3x3 and a 2x4 up…rofl. I found for super clean extraction that hash gave cleaner oil. For bulk cooks I used full flower as most do.

Ty @Mmanson1981 . I am seriously leaning there as a final.
