hey guys, saw this was an active thread so i figured i could shoot you a couple questions because im new here and cant find out how to post my own topic. anyways, its my first grow and im using top down nutes with just ph’d water. I started LST today and saw the bottom leave have small yellowish / brown spots / markings. At this point im not sure what to do, if they are deficient in something? or if i should just leave it alone for now. I’m 3 weeks in and its an auto as well.
Welcome to the forum JaymzG!!! If you are brand new it will not let you post your own thread. I will tag
@Myfriendis410 and he can help you with that. Are those spots just on one leaf or on more? If its just one, it could have been when you watered it it splashed some dirt onto that low leaf. Until I get more info, its hard to say. Did you see if you could wipe it off the leaf?
Myfriendis410 is with the ILGM staff and can help you get a thread started. When you get it started, tag me in. Just type @ and my name like this @patchman. You can still post here til you get your thread.
Thanks for the welcoming info patchman! I checked just now to see and they will not rub off, and it is on some other leaves in less quantity. but when i went to rub it off of one of the leaves i noticed it cracked and a small piece of the leaf broke off. Note - I have another plant that is about 2 weeks next to this one as well and the other plant is not being affected in this way.
Looks like a nute splash. Nothing to worry about. It tends to happen on bottom leaves when watering.
Normally I would think the same thing, the only reason i didn’t think that is because i try to be careful when watering not getting water on the leaves. You think that could be the only thing?
Very young plant, and it’s rare to see a deficiency that early. This is confirmed by the second plant being fine, and one assumes, in the same soil mix. This and the looks, leads me to nute splash.
I agree If you look at the Peyote Zkittlez pic above, the bottom pic, you can see a leaf that looks very similar to yours. It’s towards the bottom. This leaf will never improve. It was a lower leaf that sometimes hit the dirt during the lights out droop. I splashed some water on it occasionally on accident too.
Thanks for all the information fellas, I will just leave her alone for now and resume with the regular feed schedule. if anything happens i will update in a new post and tag one of you in it in the following weeks! Thanks again for all the support guys, i can now relax knowing its nothing major.
Your welcome, and also, welcome to I♥️GM .
The girls are green
Peyote Forum is the only one who wants to play with me and my new scrog net. It’s set at 12"
Peyote Zkittlez is tolerating the same amount of nitrogen as the other girls now. She’s starting to catch up to P.forum (whose photo bombing on the right)
She’s the girl in back.
Peyote Wifi (above pic, girl in front) is turning out to be a bushy squatty girl. She has very short thick stems.
Just veggin’, not much to show.
The Peyote girls are ready for flower. They are filling out the scrog net nicely. They had a preflower tea and I’ll rearrange lights and flip to 12/12 today @Budbrother
Next pic won’t be blurple
Holiday cheers, they’re looking fantastic!
Thanks @Big123 it’s good to see you around. I’m already looking forward to your 2021 ganja tree garden
Thank you @GreenJewels
GG#4 stash bud photobombing
I have some feminized peyote WiFi and peyote gorilla glue on the way. I’m looking forward to growing again too
GreenJewels-
You say that they are just vegging and there wasn’t much to show. Oh, I beg to differ. The “weed” we all love is a very beautiful plant! Everyone focuses on the buds, and rightfully so I guess. But I think its a really neat looking plant. Whether its the really thin saliva leaves or the big fat indica leaves. I know this is just me being a little too medicated, but the very early buds with all those saliva leaves around looks like someone could turn that into some kind of cartoon talking bud. I know, I know. I really think its the blueberry though. My imagination and creativity go through the roof on blueberry. You keep on growing your wonderful plants, and if you dont mind I would like your input on my next grow. I can tag you if thats ok. Budbrother has been a big help this time. We both use build a soil. I had found them on my own and couldn’t believe it when I found that he used them too. They seem really good, and my soil recipe comes from them. I hope you had a Merry Christmas GreenJewels!!! Happy Holidays!! Peace…
Nice photo bomb Big. I love the Christmas tree bud as well
@patchman these plants are definitely a blast to watch grow. I spend a lot of time sitting, enjoying and just watching them. My garden is my place of Zen.
Nothing wrong with imagination and creativity, I love it! The more I smoke the more creative I get. Certain strains definitely increase it more than others. Blueberry has always been a favorite of mine.
Build a soil is great. Most of my soil building stuff has come come from them. There’s a lot of educational information on their site. It’s pretty cool when someone sells you a bottle of EM1 then also gives you the information how to use that to make more. Most businesses wouldn’t offer that info. BudBrother has taught me so much and still is. He’s a wealth of knowledge. Pretty sure he has a genius IQ. From what I’ve seen, he absorbs knowledge like a sponge and like me, has a thirst for it. I tried to research as much as I could and then I’d come at him with questions about what I learned. He’s great at explaining things so I can understand. I think he appreciates that I try to solve things on my own by reading and learning. I pester him after I’ve done my research. I’ll only stop learning about growing organically when I roll over dead. It’s an extremely interested subject as is growing pot.
Feel free to tag me with any questions, I’m still learning but I’ll answer and help anytime I can. Have a great holiday weekend
Miss Jewels (if its ok to call you that, usually I call somebody that and the text back saying they are guys! Ugh, how embarrasing). Thank you so much for your response. I am just starting my natural journey. I dont like the word organic, as it is often misrepresented, and to me is one of those trendy buzz words. I just think nature’s way is the way to grow my medicine. So I just call it natural gardening. I am also a student of KNF and hope to use as many of their methods as I can in my gardening. I have one blueberry in flower now. My first organic grow. I believe I missed the balance my first go. I am going to use a different build a soil recipe next grow. I am going to mix the soil up soon so it has a few weeks to cook. My current plant won’t be ready until around the second week in January. That will put me at 12 weeks above ground. Hope your holidays are great and your current grow yields big, natural buds the size of your arm! Take care and be safe- peace…
