Jeremyg’s Grow Journal

@Dinky

Oh no its truly all good! I can use this all for future grows, plus I had an amazon gift card so it all worked out! I will definitely be seeing what I can do now that I’m getting off work and about to head home! I greatly appreciate all the help you’ve given me throughout, I would not be here with any girl probably if it wasn’t for all the help I’ve received!

So here is how she looks now as kind of a before,

I’ve pretty much pulled her every direction that I could for now as I wait for those benders to come!

Thank you! I hoping she gets better!!

@Dinky

I ordered the same day shipping but it turns out it won’t come until tomorrow morning, so I will be doing the bending later tomorrow!

I was also wondering about where do you think I should bend, and what would be a good safe distance for her colas to be from the light?

I normally just take a branch from the top and bend it from there, the tension point this creates is usually where the branch meets the stem, if you cant push that point any further just work from the centre of the branch. In your case, whatever gives you the most space possible :joy:

I try to have a foot distance between my canopy and light when at 100%

That spread you gave will help a ton, keep pushing those limits :fist_right:

@Dinky

I come back with good news! Not only does she smell absolutely amazing :smile: but I was also able to get a lot of those sites pulled back or bent over!

The main stalk is almost laying flat now on the trellis and the other larger ones I had to tie instead of use the benders, they were honestly too thick and strong to bend into a right angle like that, any of the sites coming off of those though I was able to pretty much bend all the way into that angle!

Here she is!

The main stem all the way at the bottom of her is gigantic!! Its much larger than my thumb at this point and as rock hard as a tree!

Ah dude delighted for ya what a difference! I think the anxiety levels on everyone watching just dropped down a few scales :joy:

Well done man I’d imagine that’s the end of your worries.

Next stop is a large defol, but not just yet :wink:

@Dinky

I will 100% say that I was quite anxious as well but was doing my best to trust the process! She still is somewhat close, I’ll have to take exact measurements but I also am still running the light at 80%

I am also going to be moving those back still more and more because she is quite rigid until I start playing with them a little bit, then usually the next day they are up to some more movement!

I sure hope that it is the end of my worries! I am excited to see where she goes and constantly have been getting up to see how she is doing :joy:

Ooooo, I will be looking out for the future defol that is coming!

Dont forget if necessary you have the green light to SC individual branches so no matter what you have a card to play :wink:

You might save another inch or two by removing the standard hook and cables you get with the lights and using two simple ‘S’ shaped hooks

I might have to go ahead and SC some of them just to get a little bit more distance between them and the light!

The light did come with 2 different mounting hardware, one metal fixed hook system and a rope one that I ended up tying to 4 different points in the tent. The problem that I am facing now is the height that I can get that exhaust fan too, its currently basically touching the light with how close they have become!

Wow just noticed that. You have the 6inch fan yea? Have you got any duct tubing?

I actually think I only have the 4” fan currently. When I got the complete tent grow kit from ac infinity the 2x2 only came with a 4”

This was the kit I had gotten awhile ago but then changed out the tent for a larger 2x4 vivosun

The ducting I currently have is attached with the filter outside of the tent!

Ok side tip (for future setups)- see how long your ducting is going to the carbon filter? Shorten that up, think of the distance the non-ventilated air has to be pushed by the fan before it reaches the filter. If you shorten that distance it will be more effective👌

Now going back to the space inside, im wondering could you just take the fan out altogether and attach it directly to the carbon filter on the outside. Then use your ducting coming in from one of your top vents. The downside is you would have to turn your fan up some to make sure its still sucking in the tent when its closed (negative pressure), and it’ll probably get a little noisier if thats an issue. I know for usage it can be done but it doesnt always suit folks trying to be discreet etc

Great job bro looks like a jungle in there

@Crazy81

It really is a jungle in there :joy: shes growing every way she can and is creating such a nice canopy!!

@Dinky

I have fed at 6,5ph and 900ppm tonight and here are my results!

ph is still holding quite low even though I have been putting 6,5 everytime through her

I also moved my exhaust fan to the outside of the tent which freed up a lot of space for the light! I have it roughly about 12 inches from all sites now, the closest one is about 10-11 inches away! I will also be cutting the ducting for next grow once she is finished!

and finally, here she is a little bit after I had fed!

@jeremyg hows your humidity?

1 Like

@Dinky

Yes! The problem has most definitely gotten solved! I appreciate your recommendation with moving that outside the tent!

Currently she sits at about 60% humidity! Should that be lowered?

1 Like

If you can lower it then definitely do. Im suprised its not higher with how much foilage is going on tbh.

Ideally you want in 40-50% range. Note that my humidity is off the scale and i usually have to compensate this with maximum airflow, ill have 3 soft fans running 24/7 and constant air exchange. Sometimes I get by unscathed but I have lost a cola or two at times.

Your biggest fears when you’re full on blooming will be mold, you just have so much going on there. Also why im gonna say we defol probably in a few days too.
