I have a amnesia haze autoflower as well as a gg auto in a 2x4x6 tent with a 200watt spider farm led light as well as a 90w amazon led light. I used 5 gal buckets with holes drilled in them, (last grow i used 3 gal bags.) Im using pro mix hp soil. The plants are about a month and a half old. They were doing fine til i decided to water til runoff for the first time with only the bigger plant (the amnesia haze). When i tested runoff it was 600ppm with a ph of 6.3. I know im low on nutes but was gonna wait til the next feed. Well i know i over watered it cause the next day the leaves were wilted. 2 days later the leaves were still wilted, and turning yellow. afraid i didnt have enough airflow with the 5 gal buckets i drilled more holes. Its been 2 days with more holes and the plant is getting worse, the soil has dried out. The plant is definitely yellowing and now showing lots of brown spots as pictured. My other plant is starting to show the same signs but i didnt water to runoff with that one. Is the 5 gallon buckets hurting me? Should i replant into bags or am i to far in. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Soil slurry. Rule out ph first. Just because your runoff gives you one ph, your soil will test different. If your soil slurry ph tests good, then check ppms and feed. I would also give her a chance to dry out also.
Soil slurry? How would i go about that? Use distill water mix the soil with it then use a ph meter to see what it is?
Yes there are videos on youtube to explain the process.
Just tested and im sitting at 6.7
Allow her to dry out and feed, autos can be Karens when it comes to soil ph. I would ph in at 6.5
When You get the droop under control. overall plant looks ok .Clean up around the bottom of the plant a little. How often are you watering in the 5 gallon bucket ?
Happy growing
Was doing like 1/4-1/2 gal every 2-3 days depending on how soil felt and the leaves.
That was before i did the first water to runoff which that was like 2-3 gallons. And maybe a gal on the other plant. I know thats where my mistake was, but was expecting a turn around by now.
I’ll be honest with you I hate those plastic buckets. Fabric pots are more forgiven and dry out faster. It may take a few days to dry out after the three gallon of water. Plants will bounce back.
Yea definitely think so as well. Will be switching back to fabric after this grow.
Things are progressing but the plants def dont look the healthiest. Ive posted my watering schedule. I know my nutes are low but how much is too much? I dont want to over nute and hurt them more then they are. Im also afraid to water ro complete runoff. Any help is appreciated.
After drying the medium out, I would consider watering around the outer edge of the bucket only. It will dry out faster and also force the roots to reach out to the water.
