They are set up in autopots - Grow dots feeds with straight water amended with microbes (Tribus and Garden Friendly Fungicide- GFF herein after). No Dots gets the same blend as the entire rest of the room - Jack’s plus tribus and GFF.
They were just placed into the flowering room about 5 days ago. They are in the transition now. No real clear sexing yet surprisingly enough.
Definitely. The curious thing about the Dots with how I’ve used them so far is they come in various sizes and colors. Ive noticed after one run of ~90-120 days, they aren’t fully depleted by the smallest pellets are gone. I’m approaching the end of a grow using them a second time around without adding fresh Dots and they certainly needed supplementation- so some of the nutrients were indeed used up totally even though, visually, it seems like they’re still intact. Point being that is the design of the Dots - to provide certain nutrients for a specific amount of time/waterings. MG isn’t quite as discerning, I don’t think, since it just offers the same “full strength” from start to the moment its used up. I may be wrong about that, but I can’t say I’ve ever noticed the MG feed pellets be blatantly different sizes beyond their variable size in manufacture.
Here is what I have so far. Both are in auto pot spring pots, same strain, same microbes and fish shot along the way. Popped and sprouted same time too. One got grow dots, one gets jacks 321…
I think the dots would kick start an outdoor grow very well but you would have to supplement in flower I’m doing photos now 5 weeks in to flower have started to add calmag but other than that there doing great
Fast versions might finish up before the Dots are even done. I was able to reuse the Dots from GDv2 to feed a few seedlings in solo cups for a couple of weeks before having to add anything else to the water.
Do it. I’ll be the devil on your shoulder.
But seriously by now @Fiz@Twelve1 (I believe) and @alienofasoul have all run grow dots from start to finish or almost finish.
The common things I’ve seen among the GD grows is a strange period of nute overload - it seems to last a couple days and then go away. Then sometimes a CalMag deficiency. So it seems reasonable to think all you really need to run alongside grow dots are the things most of us keep on hand anyway - CalMag or Epsom salts, microbes, mycorrhizae, silica, sugars, and acids.
Yes, I’m also running Grow Dots (heavy application) and I’ve been very happy with them. My plants are on day 81 from sprouting with white widow autos with soil in 2-gallon pots. I’ve only used Recharge once a week, some TPS organic calmag every watering, and RO water. I’ve never PHd. I have a journal; I don’t update it every day, the last update was on Friday, below are pics. The quicker-to-mature plant is showing some fade, while the slower plant is still all green:
Real Growers has some info on them; they say an application lasts up to 16 weeks, so yeah longer-finishing plants and photos would need something more.
That is what I have been doing I also have given them compost tea 3 times so far and I think one more time this grow is in reused soil the grow I just started is in pro mix and I agree with the nitrogen shot in the beginning but it doesn’t seam to hurt at all
