I’ve exhausted my resources. So my question is, I pulled my plant today and should I remove the leaves from entire plant. Except ones attached to the buds?
Hello @Weedling
I assume you are harvesting…
People have different ways of drying…
Some people hang the entire plant… Some trim just the big leaves… Others like myself wet trim…
I leave all the buds on the main branches… Cutting off each branch from the main stalk.
Then trimming all leaves possible at the the base of the stem… All other leaves do the best you can.
Once ready for your dry area… Try to maintain a 60F 60rh dark environment… No air blowing directly on the buds.
Shoot for 7-10 day dry if possible… Then when they test at 10-12% moisture via a moisture meter… Cut them off the stem into a paper bag for 12-48 hours to stabilize the moisture… Once stable at 58-62% with a hygrometer… Bag them into grove bags for 6 weeks minimum.
Enjoy!
I hope that helps…
Also… It will eventually smell like grass… It will pass… The chlorophyll has to break down.
Yes it helps a lot. Thank you. I’m a head but never grew anything before in my life so I’ve asked buddies. And here I am used only plant food and watered every 2 to 3 days started six and only 2 were female. I don’t know anything about the tech stuff
@Weedling This place is an awesome wealth of information!
If you need anything… Just ask… Someone will be along shortly…
Feel free to tag me if you’ve got other questions.
I hope you have a great night!
Welcome to the community @Weedling!
Thank you
Would a 2x2x5ft tent work for drying/curing? Was thinking about doing that until rest of the kit comes in.
@DanB Sure you can… A closet, shower stall… A box…anything big enough to hold your buds… With space between… I small fan on low pointing at the bottom to circulate the air…
I use a cool mist humidifier inside if my air is too dry…it’s controlled by an inkbird humidity controller. Set at 60.
I use a large 70 pint dehumidifier in the room my grow and dry are in. I use a 4x4 tent to dry.
Any thing your plants fit in and you can get as close to that 60rh and 60f will work, your tent will help keep that or close, I dry in a 2x4 tent, congrats on chop and Welcome, this forum is fill golden nuggets on everything not just growing @Growmoredank has your back!
@DanB no cure in Tent just dry, jars, groove bags best for cure!
I use a bowl trimmer, and do an entire trim of the buds, and dry them in a drying rack. I try to dry as slow as possible.
