It's only a test

my dimmers don’t have an off click but I am running Marshydro…my grow room is maxed out on AC supply too…20A line only and if everything is on I need 20 A on paper… so far no smoke…ahahahahaha

Goodmorning Pharmers. I’m adjusting things, always room for improvement.

Yep, I have a 220 breaker not being used, I’m gonna pull it and replace with two 20 amp breakers. The lung rooms power will be isolated completely from the rest of the house. The 1000w Tarantula is alreay on it’s own dedicated 220 circuit.

Shoulda done it to start with. When I added the second dehumidifier the math said it was close and I was worried about simultaneous start up surge after a power outage, or some odd event. Turns out it was the stir pump and feed pump running at the same time that forced my hand. :flushed: I knew better, math doesn’t lie.

I have always wondered what light you had that seems to fill that big ass tent you have…

With all the love HLG gets here, I was hesitant to say. I didn’t know about the conflict between Grand Master and HLG until after the purchase. I gotta say though, the par map they advertise is fantastic, and what I measure is even better than advertised, I get almost zero ppfd drop anywhere in the tent. Running at level 6 on the 69 pro to get 750 PPFD.

Seems to be a damn fine light.

I have a HLG 65 V2 for seedlings, doing business with them and how they treat me as a customer… I see why they get the love they do. Awesome to deal with.

You have the same issues my breaker box isn’t big enough so i have a bunch of double breakers installed. Took a bit to get things lined up to not trip the breakers all the time. Found an abandond 220 line that was already run to the attic split it in half everyone is happy now. 1870 house just not equipped for Pharming

We are far enough south we use a package unit A/C - heat unit Thats all outside. It has a dedicated 220 breaker for auxillary heat when it gets really cold. We don’t use it for heat, we have a wood stove, so I used that breaker for the light, just put in a new 20a breaker.

The remaining, available 220 breaker is for a window unit A/C which I took out when we moved in. I’ll use those legs for a couple of additional 20a 110 breakers. System should be all kinda happy at that point.

I didn’t know there was some bad blood between Grand Master and HLG people…

I don’t know, I heard something about the owner of GM used to work for HLG and then went and started his own company… I do not know.

The only thing I can tell you for sure, the tarantula tent ultimate is a bad ass light!

Always room for adjustments. I almost bought a solar generator to run the grow system off of, after i figured out were the high electricity bills space heaters arent are friends. Lol i have a couple of readers i have in on the lights so i can set it to how high the wattage they are using.

Yeah space heater are electric hogs. Most are 1500w… a couple… is a LOT.

people don’t realize that a 1500W device can pull 12.5 amps and more if the voltage is low…

Start up is often 2kw.
When the heating element is cool you’ll hear the fan slow down due to the massive draw.

Goodmorning Brothers yes but having the reader it gave me the option to see which one worked the most efficiently with out being crazy. This last winter by my lights being on at night was a benefit they maintained themselves win win

Good morning my growmie brothers!!!

The timer shown to me by @Low is awesome. Simple to program, versatile, appears to be a great value! Thanks for the heads ups!

Programmed to come on at lights on, 8pm, run for 3.5 minutes, turn off and come back on at, 7am, run for 4.5 minutes and turn off. Running straight coco, (next grow perlite is going in with it, ratio suggestions?.) I’m a little concerned about oxygen. Does this schedule seem OK for those of you who know? The coco is damp with just a few dry spots on the surface where the fans are blowing across them a little, by the next fertigation event.

I may have to adjust when the new pump is installed, 1/4 vs 1/3 hp. Slightly different flow rates.

I used coins to verify my scales accuracy. I didn’t trust the amazon weights I use to calibrate. At 198 grams, it was .4 grams under. Not terrible. I’ve been dosing for 55 gal of water but putting as much RO in as I can, by guesstamation close to 60 gal. EC comes out to 2.4 - 2.48 consistently. Runoff EC this am was 3.1. Still ok, but needing to keep an eye on it.

9 weeks today, pic to come in a few, mommas bringing me food. :slightly_smiling_face: :four_leaf_clover: :four_leaf_clover:

I think @LiesGrows turned me into those timers when I was looking.

For 2x a day on 12/12 feed at lights on and then 8 hours later.

Perlite recommendations… pot size? Desired watering frequency?

9-pennies make an ounce, Maybe.

Nickle is 5 grams, quarter is 5.67 grams.

I already have a supply of 3 gal fabric pots, so I’ll use those for now, probably stay with them considering I have florflex caps to fit them.

I’m just starting to get my head wrapped around the benefits of more frequent fertigation events. So frequency and perlite content are correlated. Which is what I’m trying to determine. How much does increased frequency and perlite content aid in keeping runoff EC in acceptable range. (In addition to more oxygen) Folks like you who’ve already been down this road could save me a couple, or more, grow cycles to figure it out on my own.
