So I’m having issues with germination for some reason. I purchased some Granite Haze and these girls are not working with me 
. I’ve been doing well with germination with other strains, but for some reason these girls are little bi….s. You know what I mean.

I have had some problem childs…had trouble with ILGM Pure Indica not wanting to pop. What method are you using?

I use paper towel and 1/3. Peroxide 2/3 ph water. Keep it in a dark area

Most of the time it only takes 72 hours. These are taking a week. And the first couple popped off but only gave me pedal leaves and no more. 3-weeks under the light

You mentioned you have good luck with other beans. I have a similar method.
Overwatering is the most common cause of seedling failure after they sprout…they get all the water they need from the air if you keep it humid enough (humidity dome)

I forgot to mention that. I cut water bottles in half and put the bottom over them. I water them with a mist spray. I’m going to try more patience. I pulled the first set and the roots were brown on all of them as well as the pedal leaves

Might want to cut the peroxide back to a couple drops, all it needs to sanitize water.

You didn’t mention temperature. Needs to be ~80 F for reliable and fast germination.

I’ve only ever used paper towels. Wet them, just water and put in a ziplock bag and toss them in my cupboard. I’ve had them pop in as little as 24hr to 3 or 4 days. Can’t ever remember if here were any failures but there might of been looong ago. Just lucky I guess.

I generally don’t have any issues. I thought maybe the hybrid may be. I don’t know.

80 - 85 if fine. 90 might be a bit warm for germination but will likely be fine as well.

I was watching a documentary on germination of cannabis with different amounts of peroxide and 1/3 was what I thought they said was the best mix. That’s why I go that route. Hell I always used rain water under a lamp. Not anymore. Not to second guess your suggestion and success. The 1/3 has worked well for me. They also said that the thought of sanitizing with the peroxide may help but it’s the extra oxygen that helps it more. I don’t know

I f that were the case, why does plain water work fine? Lol THEY say a lot, I was just going off experience. Best of luck.

Yea it was up to mid 90s here. Maybe the issue. Indoors now.

Hey man I’m with you on that. I generally don’t have any issues. Since the late 70s I’m pretty much just trying different things with hybrids use to be more just beans from bags with rain water. No problem brother

I have used this twice now, 90% seed germ. I used rapid rooters first time and just mg starter soil on second. Bothe runs sprouted in 3 days, no peroxide, no soaking, just drop the beans.
I remove after sprout as I think doming stunts growth.

As long as the temperature isn’t too cool they should be fine. Mid 80s to low 90s are fine. Anything below 70F and they probably won’t germinate unless they are ruderalis.
The peroxide mix is fine if you are using 3% hydrogen peroxide. Soak the seeds in that solution for 24-48 hours and then damp paper towel them until they send out the tap root. When the tap root is 1/4 inch long, sow them.
You can also try soaking for a day, then put them in a damp paper towel and put that in a plastic bag (ziplock bag). Put it in the fridge for a week or two and then sow in warm soil. Sometimes the cold then warmth can break the dormant cycle and get them to sprout.
If seedlings wilt and die a few days after appearing it is either to dry or too wet for them. I normally sow the seed and water the entire pot, then leave it in a warm spot without a cover. They usually pop up within a few days to a week, depending on temperature. They don’t get a drink again until the top inch of soil is dry.

If these two don’t work I will follow your instructions. I have a Bruce Banner popping with the two Granite Haze. The BB is popping. Started 3- days ago. GHs 9-days. That’s got me scratching my head
