Newbie here calling in a life line yet again lol…is this new growth or is it normal looking bud i have no clue!!! GG4 is 81 days old from seed im guessing she’s at 7weeks of flowing

Looks like it may be starting to foxtail a little bit. That is common late in flower and may mean she is getting a little too much light. It doesn’t really hurt anything, just makes the buds look funky and the new trichomes being produced will not be as mature. Some people cut them off as they grow and some trim them after harvest while others just ignore them. To slow them growing just cut back the DLI by shortening hours or dimming the lights.

Thanks again@HMGRWN, i appreciate the help, so i just let it grow until harvest try less sunlight got it🤙 I’ll put her in the sunroom sooner cut her back 8hours from 10hours, thanks again
I think dimming, or raising your light if you can’t dim is a better option.

She is outside? Foxtailing could be from heat, any way you can cool her off a bit more during the day. Also, as I understand it excess available Nitrogen can contribute to the building of foxtails. Is there any way for you to reduce the amount of nitrogen fertilizer you are using. (I.E I use FF trio and pk booster trio, I cut out the Grow Big this late in flower. Cha Ching has some and so does T.Bloom so no need for the grow big)

Just a recommendation but i was told by an experienced grower when that happens switch to 12&12 on the light schedule and that will slow it or stop it all together…

Your Welcome bro i just so happen to run across this thread and that’s what they were discussing. They said it was the best way to prevent it… 12&12 as soon as they saw any signs of it …mainly in the last month of flower… that was their fix… i sure hope this helps you my brother cause them buds are pure dee badass 2 da bone

First, beautiful plant! I recently finished a GG4 auto and she was foxtailing toward the end too. I had light, heat, and humidity controlled but she did it anyway. I left them on.
She went 129 days! I was waiting to see amber on the buds before chopping. I can’t be sure from your picture if we’re looking at sugar leaves or buds. She’s close.
You are going to love the smoke - I grew 4 different strains my last grow and the GG was the most potent. Good yield too, at 8 oz.

Thanks@Fiz i put my wifi digital microscope right in to the flower im not sure if im doing it right but i have been trying to stay away from the sugar leaves and go right into the bud yet again no clue if im doing it right im still trying to pop my first ever grow to harvest cherry🤙
