Been gone a few days checking my girl an I see this while in the bud. Is this mild or mildew, what should I do? Should i go ahead an harvest week 11 from flip.

Yes that looks like WPM… once it sets like that, it spreads FAST! Id harvest immediately. At least that plant, some people shut off all fans, bag the effected branch, snip it n try to push the rest a bit longer. But those buds looks nice and dense…. There could be spores already inside close branches.
Good news is a bud wash (water, peroxide and lemon juice) can eliminate some wpm. Good dunk and shake in the solution then hanging to dry before trimming will take care of most cases. Be thorough tho. You DONT WANT TO SMOKE MOLD.
In all honesty, if it looks still questionable, toss that bud. Nasty stuff in the spores. And u look to have had a solid grow. How big is ur space and how many plants? Any more affected areas?

1 plant in a 3x3. 7G pot. None of the other buds looked affected. I was thinking of snipping that bud. But I dont see it on any other buds.

I worked with molds and bacterias. Once you visually see the mold on a marijuana plant like
yours, its more than likely spread throughout the grow room. I am banking on you having a fan blowing in the tent.
These spores are so small you need an expensive microscope to look for more spores.
With my lung issues, I would have to toss it which would truly suck.
Now the question that should be answered…can we identify what caused the WPM so it can be prevented in the long run. Outside the mold, that flower is beautiful.

Yup thats one sexy bud! The amount of fan leaves maybe helping cause the issue. A little defoliating here and there would help a bunch. Huge fan leaves can go. Ur approaching the end so for the most part, they have served their purpose.

I have covered that bud with a plastic bag. I am going to harvest it in the morning minus the mold bud. I Jack Hearer waiting to drop in dirt. So no need in giver her more time. Figure I’ll harvest an give my tent a good wipe down. Between foxtailing and mold, I need more practice with stativa.
I am planning to bud wash in the morning, an cure what looks salvageable.

I think the problem I had this whole frow was the 7G pot. It held to much moisture for such a small space. I have battled humidity issues the entire grow. My previous grows were 3G. I think I may go back to that routine until I get a bigger space.

The entire environmental fight is a fine lined minefield. Little things can cascade but your logic is definitely sound. More moisture is quite literally the recipe for more humidity. Dense buds while we want them for the smoke and flower factors, invite WPM. Some of my prettiest heaviest buds were “mold resistant” but each one caused an early harvest. Id still grow em again LOL just with tweaks.

I was looking at the photos I just took and fortunately got a pic of this.
I bagged, cut and burned this one up outside. Harvested everything the next day. Gave them a good baking soda, then peroxide bath and rinse.
Misted the inside of the tent with 10% bleach solution, a couple of times including fans and carbon filter. Rinsed everything down with peroxide.
Turned up the intake and extraction fans a notch to increase air flow.

That is exactly the steps I plan. I already cut off that entire bud, plan on giving them a bath 1st am. An complete tent sanitize.

That’s a bummer , Definitely mold I would look at plant closely it will spread. Once you see it you never forget it like a Grayish looking cotton ball. Break the Bud apart once removed probably see more on the inside.

I did, it was only one one side of the bud, but definatley more visible once a pulled it apart. Just hoping than main cola didnt suffer. I’ll find out in the morning

Future grows Maybe add a extra fan an increase exhaust fan speed for more air flow To head off mold and WPM. Good luck my friend.
If humidity is a problem, a small dehumidifier will help, that’s if you have room

I run a infinity fan on auto for exhaust an a full time infinity intake, 2 dehumidifiers. And fan. The issues was whe. I watered the humidity would hit like 65 an it would take a while for them to draw it down.

Went through as planned, harvested this morning.
Gave it a 4 stage wash: baking soda stage 1, lemon and peroxide stage, followed by 2 clean rinses. Notice the white on one other cola, which puts both cases as ones near the light. Hmmm. Either way hours later, not quite the anber level I wanted, but looked pretty good. Will be closely watching in the coming days until I can get them in jars with humidity packs. Without further ado, wanted to share the outcome.

Def looks like mold to me. You can walk it with the water peroxide mix and rinse. That’s what we did but didn’t use any for smoke. I extracted with ethanol and used for edibles. Between rinse, decarb and ethanol and the distilling I call it safe for all but don’t smoke. My wife had t.b. as a kid so gotta be extra careful.

That is full blown bud rot or”grey mold”. I just had to bag an entire plant because I do not want the risk factors. Keep that air moving with minor vigor and humidity low during flowering!!
