Is this bug damage or something else

@Magnum4174. It’s Possible. Could also be wind damage too.
Check your plants and area closely for any other signs.
Check your fan angles and proximity to plants.
Some minor blemishes are bound to happen during movement of plants. :+1::wink::v:
Perhaps a whole plant pic too.

They are a little thirsty right now. Otherwise, pretty healthy should I think about trimming or wait this is my first attempt so clueless here.

I’d definitely wait on the trimming. Still pretty young.
Right now it needs all those leaves for growth.
Looks good by the way. Healthy for sure. :+1::v::sunglasses:

I agree with @Oldguy, and my reasoning is this. Sometimes if you cut a plant, the stem or branch may die back an inch or so. Not usually, but it can. I try to leave at least an inch when I cut in case of this sometimes death. Just to be safe.

Will do . I screwed up and planted them in 7 gallon pots right away so I been babying so not to over water.
But the past few days seems I cant keep enough water on then

They are 5 weeks about to be 6 weeks old.i messed up and put dirt on stems so they wouldnt fall over .so they really would be alot taller I’f I wouldnt have done that.i didnt know not to.

I must say I’m thoroughly hooked though.i really enjoy growing

It’s perfectly ok to prop up the stems with a bit of your soil. They will develop more roots along that buried stem. :v:

Is it true the bigger the stem the better cause these guys are huge

K good cause when the dirt gets brushed away by accident u can see the roots trying to start . So I was hoping that was the case

@Magnum4174.
They’ll often show a bit of purpling on their fan leaf stems.
Got them too.

This is a purple kush.
Genetics plays a role in it showing up.:v:
