Is there an issue here?

I have two banana kush autoflowers. One is planted in a peat pellet and one is in Burpee seed starter mix that is predominantly coco. I have these under 75 watt LED and a SF-1000 which are both at about 3’ above the seedlings. I only spritz these about once a day with bottled water. I am doing a 18/6 light cycle. I haven’t used any other nutrients other than what is in the above mediums. If you need any other info, please ask. This is my first grow and I would love to not blow it. Thanks!

Looking good so far. Looks like a little bit of foreskin from the seed still on the leaf in the second picture but should fall off if not u can wet it a bit and carefully pick it off.

So everything is going okay? The one looks a little yellow to me.

Its little still it will be fine. Its new growth its first actual set of leaves coming in. Mine do it all the time.

Excellent. Thanks! Is that an okay setup for my lights? I don’t want to burn them.

@dbrn32 is the light guru. I think they should be just fine from that. And I use water bottles and spray those then cover the seedling. That way your not putting droplets on top of their leaves. But make sure you don’t over water and you’ll be golden. Like in the soil u wanna make sure its moist when u water it at this stage but not soaked where is drowned. Couple mls in a circle around the seedling will do fine and make sure it stays humid cuz it sucks the humidity while it makes roots

I have domes that I’ve been using from water bottles and spraying those for the past couple of days. These just popped a couple of days ago.

Just keep doing what your doing you’ll be fine. Once those peat pellet things dry up just get them wet again but not super wet

I agree

Just learning myself but wouldn’t you want 24hr light cycle at this stage?

You can go 247 or 18 6. It doesn’t really matter.

wlolwhen u yransplant the pellet and the cup make sure to rip the netting or cut it loose if possible they dont degrade like they should and keeps the root zo e smaller as it dont grow out of tge pod fast enough imo from using them. The jiffy cups are the same it didnt degrade fast enoigh and kept the roots to a minimum. Other than rock on.

This is what they looked like this morning.

It looks in the second pic like the leaves are curling a bit. Put a dome over them keep the humidity and and stop misting them put a tiny bit of water in the soil for it the first pic use something to prop it up and do the same with the dome.

yes, important to realize that at this size, they dont really have much as far as a root system yet. so nutrients are coming from what is stored in the little round leaves and moisture is absorbed from the air. we soil can just have the effect of drowning the developing roots.

at this stage for water, less is more. (my name is jack and i am a seedling drowner, but recovering)

If you water around the seedling like a doughnut it works best that way it can work its roots out to the water

What should I use to prop it up?

I buy the plant wire ties its wire with the soft rubber over it. Buy you can use pipe cleaners or whatever u have a available thats going to help support it. Just don’t tie anything around it in a knot basically your using something as a kickstand for it to lean on until it gets a bit stronger

Thanks everyone! So we are pretty sure it’s not a light issue?
