Is my plant a hermie?

Just want to leave this here…
was it theirs? Or from a breeder?

It says on their website that it was given to them as a clone.

in all fairness any plant that has been manipulated to make all female seed is suspect. As well, hermaphroditic tendancies can happen either from stress or genetic mutation. In short, bad luck!

I’m about to go back to spraying optic foliar switch on my plants.

That plant looks more male than female…

Your only going to know for sure if you let the plant go longer…
But to me , it looks like a complete male , not feminized…

Let it go a week longer and than you will know if the seed bank was full of $hit on there feminized seeds… :man_facepalming::man_shrugging::smirk::shushing_face::zipper_mouth_face::no_mouth::wink::mask:
:v::sunglasses:

You really don’t want to be spraying your plants with hormones… :man_facepalming::man_shrugging:
If you can control your environment , than it wont be necessary to spray… :+1::wink:
:v::sunglasses:

Here is a picture of it further away. It definitely looks like it’s growing female flowers.

My temp stays around 77. The highest it’s gotten up to was 82, and that was still in veg. Only other stress I gave it was topping it. Like you said. It looks more male than female. There wasn’t anything I could do to prevent those sacs from growing

In that pic it looks female…
Ya…
You’ve got a weird one there…
Let it go a week or so more and see…
It really looked like a hardcore male in those first pics , now I’m not so sure…
If it’s the only plant that you have going , I would let it go a little longer and see what happens… :+1::wink:
:v::sunglasses:

Feminized plants are more likely to hermi out on you , but it usually happens towards the end of flower…
Just keep an eye on things…:+1::wink:
:v::sunglasses:

Thanks. I appreciate your help. I tried plucking all the sacs off. I hope I got them all. Hopefully it’ll be ok.

The thing is, in today’s market, femenized seeds are about the same price as regular seeds. From the research I’ve done, femenized seeds, from a reputable breeder, have about a 5% chance of being a hermie. Regular seeds typically have a 50/50 male/female ratio. 5% sounds better than 50% to me, but I guess it’s a game of chance.

Your missing a point here.
They’re not hermaphrodite, they’re either male or female. Once you establish that it’s a female, there’s a lot less of a chance for it to become a hermaphrodite, and it will yield more.
@Growyourown

I wasn’t claiming they’re hermaphrodites. I was saying regular seeds have about a 50% chance of being either male or female.
I’m just giving out numbers here but, pardon me if I’m still missing your point lol

All good. It was worded different, and I wanted clear things up.

I grew my first regular seed, and the differences between a regular seed, and a feminized seed, is night and day. I’m no expert, but a nice looking plant in a one gallon pot doesn’t lie.

So are you saying hermaphrodite is a made up term? I pulled a lot of sacs off, but it is still growing female flowers, or at least it looks like it is. Do I gotta just wait it out, and see if it produces nothing but seeds, or buds?

This is a hermaphrodite. It has both parts.

You can pull all of the sacs off, but I’m sure you’ll miss a few. Some of it will produce seeds. You can chop early, or you can let it ride. Start with different genetics next time.

Thanks for the info. I’m only 2 weeks into flower. It’s my only plant, so I’ll ride it out a bit and see what happens I guess.

do i have the same thing going on

Yours looks a lot different than mine did. I don’t see any sacs where you circled. I see white hairs
