Wondering if this looks hermie to anyone?

So my last and first grow turned out to be male and it really sucked, but I learned a lot.

This is my second grow. A friend gave me a bunch of seeds that he said were all fem. They looked fine to me until I noticed something weird in the lower flowers. I’m only a couple weeks into flower. The smaller plant in the rear of the tent is a diesel dipped cookies, the larger one is a sour diesel. The weird stuff is showing on the sour diesel.

Both plants…

I’ll try not to make this too confusing…
It looks like 3 and 4 open and turn into 2, which looks fine to me.
On #5 they are a bit smaller and kind of look male but I might just be paranoid, they might open into smaller versions of 3 and 4.

I’m no expert but that looks Hermie to me, that or those are really swollen calyx, but could also be wrong maybe wait for another opinion

I’ve had the same thing happened to me where they swell like that but you do have the pedestals coming off so I’m gonna say you’re good to go brother it looks like it’s reaching for the light ? What light do you have?

Manny and hogmaster, I just edited with some explanation. Does that change your opinion manny? I know they look a male but I’m not sure…it only in a couple spots I think. Could I trim just those off and be okay if the turn out to be definite male parts?

Yeah that reach was weird. It happened Wednesday after I gave them a little plain rain water, and I had just fed them Sunday. They were getting really dry the first couple inches even though it was drenched just three days earlier, and the large one is in a seven gallon, so I didn’t think it’d be totally dry. I’m pretty careful about over watering. I have a 500w induction, and two 300w viparspectra leds. I did have the induction a few inches higher than usual, but I have it even higher today and they aren’t reaching like that. It was weird… I think they acted like that because of the plain water, I hadn’t noticed that before.

Early flower. Don’t kill it yet. Give it a few more days. Mine looked similar and boom pistils the next day or so.

@Hogmaster @Legalinmaine

Yeah I’d go with hog just some really swole calyx hopefully just watch over em

Just went and snapped another photo…in this it almost looks new leaf growth comes from some…

Thanks, I hope you’re right… I’ll definitely be watching more closely now.

I think 8 is one that opened and looks like it could be leaf growth coming?

Unless that’s what the male looks like open…ugh! I need to stop thinking about it lol

If you get a herm and keep picking off the balls, can you get through flower and have a decent harvest?

Yes… you might end up with a few seeds but it will still be quality medicine…

Good morning! Actually it’s not really a good morning…the suspicions have been confirmed. She has bananas…

So now the question is should I kill it as I have that female next to it? Actually, I’ll have to get under there in the back now and double check the diesel cookies. - yup looks like it all female…
I’m assuming the herm will effect her flowers. Is it too late already?
The most concerning thing is that I have 5 in veg and I don’t want to chance contaminate them with pollen when I moved them into flower. Two of them are kimbo kush from exotic genetics, they aren’t fem seeds as they didn’t have that option. I don’t want to chance pollination as they were expensive seeds…that i haven’t seen for sale in quite a while.
It’s getting pretty frustrating, I started last October with my first grow, and I still haven’t had a harvest.

Definitely Hermie to me. I’ve just had to deal with 12 that went from indoor to outdoor winter and a couple "shocked " them hermie. Pulling off the male pods early has kept them “female” and not pollinated any of the others. It’s a matter of pitching off each male genital (!!) using tweezers recommended, and keep the girl parts growing hoping you get the balls before the flower opens and worse case scenario you end up with a seeded crop, better than no crop. Some say seeds “fathered by a hermie” end up feminized, that I do not know for fact.
PULL OFF THOSE BALL BAGS!!
Good luck.

I think I got every last one of em haha! They didn’t seem to be open yet.

I did open one to make sure i was only pulling bananas…I think I only pinched a couple calyxes. They were mainly on the under growth, with only a few about 5-6 nodes down. None in the tops, is that normal?
