Uh oh, was taking some pictures of my plants, when I noticed this. Looks like nanners to me, but there only seems to be one? This plant has been stressed the whole time, and just hasn’t done that well anyhow, so this wouldn’t be completely unexpected. The real issue is she’s packed into my tent with 5 other girls, all in late flower.
Looks like nanners. You are so far in no worries. Pluck it and have a water bottle on hand to wet the area to stop pollen spread.
Yah got a immature seed below it too. Turn those lights down a few notches…thats a stress response not a herm response.
Like the others said.
I believe I’m late enough into flower where I couldn’t do too much damage to anything else anyhow, but thank you all for your quick responses. I figured as much, but always nice to have back up before I make a rash decision
pluck those off…how far are you into flower? These are stress response nanners, lights down, mist with water if ya got a good handle on RH. if your far enough, the seeds wont do squat anyway, aside from be an annoyance.
The other plants have roughly 2 weeks left before harvest, and the plant with nanners has been decidedly behind the whole grow. My thought is that there isn’t enough time for pollination at this point, though if that’s wrong, please correct me and I’ll just pull this dude out tonight
Pull it, once over and pluck the nanners, drop it back, and 2 weeks your fine bud. It blew its nut a week before you noticed…so ride it out…enjoy the bud you will get. The bitch of it is the stress nanners, usually pollinate the calyx from which they shoot from, so they rarely show before they at least got one…just correct the stressor and roll on is easiest path.
I believe this seed may have come from a hermie, as I’ve been using these lights for a couple years now, and honestly, they’re fairly underpowered. I think I’m pulling 300 watts (approx) from the wall, and never had this happen before. I can’t exactly remember which one, but I know one of my seeds def came from a hermie. I think I found it lol
Dang looks open
So if late enough into flowering herms dont matter? Can someone please elaborate. First ive heard this
Yeah, well that doesn’t help the odds. We all get em from time to time, how you respond… a stress nanner is not really a herm…just sayin. Its survival self/preservation instinct/genetics.
I ended up just pulling it out. It was the smallest plant I had, and again, she had been stressed the whole grow, just couldn’t make her happy. Also, I believe she was expending all her energy into making seeds, as the buds were non existent, aside from the one with nanners growing out of it. So I cut her down and she’s in the dryer now. She will probably just go into the edible pile, so nothing will be wasted
Edit: I spoke with the person I got the seeds from, and it was a bad batch. All of his did the same thing, and he reminded me that they had come from a hermie plant. If I remember correctly, Hermie plants are more likely to pass that trait into it’s seeds, which makes sense why only one was affected.
Yeah, I’m slightly concerned about that, but I’ve been checking the rest non stop since finding that, and so far so good, nothing else seems affected. I’m so happy about that, I’ve got a peanut butter breath that the buds are all rock hard, and super sticky and smelly and I was dreading anything happening to her. Looks like I got lucky (knock on wood )
