Is it possible to have trichomes mature but still have white pistils?

Hey guy and gals,

First time outside grow for me. Was checking the trichomes in the OUTDOOR LIGHT with a jewelers loupe and it “looked like” some of these buds were really close (mostly cloudy trichomes) BUT the buds look like they can still fatten up a lot and the support leaves are green as they come. And several white pistils. 8th week into flower.

Outdoors is confusing me a little here. This is a smaller cola.

Anyone else experience this? Or am I off base on thinking this can happen?

Yes, particularly if you have foxtailing or are looking at trichs on leaves instead of flower.

No, just looking at them on the buds themselves.

Still possible if no foxtailing?

I mean nothing on this plant screams she’s ready to harvest… EXCEPT the trics but that is under outdoor lighting. Is that fooling me???

I have gold leaf autos, 8th week of flower,
Poppin white pistils !

My uneducated guess is it has some time to go yet.:v:

I’ve had plants put up new calyxes with white pistils when the rest of the bud is mature. If the trichs are where you want them, go for it.

I’m going to give it another week then check again. And again, I’ve never had support leaves this green at this stage. Head scratcher…

Yes , Some strains will push a few white pistils right up to the end.

Are these photos? Or autos?

Up here in new England our outdoor photos aren’t ready till about Sept, and even then the rainy season moves in and forces harvest before peak trichome colors…

If.its a photo I’d say a ways to go.

Happy gardening

I should have stated more clearly that it is an Auto
