Industrial hemp. 100,000-400,000 plants per acre!

Last year I got the chance to work with a company trying to introduce industrial hemp back as a cash crop. Many farmers singed on and over 3000 acres were planted. Thought I would share some pictures of the grow

Lots of hemp was planted around here last year.
God, it smelled amazing in the fall.

I was worried about my outdoor girls.

Unfortunately around here it didn’t work out as well as many farmers anticipated. Harsh weather, unscrupulous contractors and a abundance of product.

Great pics.

That sounds like the same exact situation we faced when harvest came… they harvested late due to poor planning and many farmers did not see any profit in the end. @Drinkslinger

There was a guy here, contracted over $500k worth of hemp, took the product, then filed for bankruptcy and never paid the farmers.

Left a bitter taste for many.

That shit is the bane of any cannabis grower! It cross pollinates with cannabis just fine!

Yes I can imagine many outdoor crops being ruined by nearby fields… As hemp seeds get more diversity to them I can see all feminized seeds being planted instead of a 50/50 mix of regular seeds with no need for males to be planted. Only regular seeds were available to be planted this first year of production with limited availability
