Indoor no-till experiment: the permajournal

Hey @Skydiver, thanks for the thoughts, I appreciate it!!

This is the lady I’m mostly interested in removing them from:

Being as they are only another week or two from chop I didn’t think it would hurt her. The shorter lady’s still photosynthesizing (if that’s a word) so I’m not keen to take anything off of her.

Well I found a few no-brainers in terms of trimming…

There were 3 like that, but it seems concentrated to one of the side colas.

On the bright side they are not on the buds so far… and they look great with lights off…

Gerry and Trudy continue to impress:

I see though that 2l for the full pot should be enough, I don’t want runoff…

Those look like bugs.
Aphids?
If they are in there you’ll want to look into treating them

Don’t use when in flower there are other options

Hell Yeah…I was starting to feel lonely advocating leaving the big fan/sun leaves…:ok_hand::sunglasses::v:

Yes, definitely aphids, I confirmed with the microscope. They have been around since I stayed growing and I’ll catch a few leaves like that every few weeks. I had spider mites on the previous harvest, that sucked.

But I use neem for sure, and peroxide when they seem wide spread. The Durban’s will get some neem soon, one last time before flower… I don’t want to use the neem on the buds.

I have had some ladybugs in there too. I only noticed 1 that stuck around for more than 24 hours. But that article talked about wetting the plant before releasing and releasing in the evening. I’ll do that next time for sure!!

Keep it coming @Skydiver, much appreciated. :sunglasses::v:t3::+1:

Hey @monkman, what’s your method with tester buds, or sampling near harvest?

Microwave?? Oven??

i hang the plant and then after a week i chop one of the little branches that has enough for one joint. i run it thru my grinder and then let it sit for an hour or two. i never use something to dry it out. i have found that you can get it dried enough to smoke by just grinding it up and waiting for a while before you smoke it. i add one gram per joint i smoke to the total to try to keep it commensurate (totals).

sorry, i guess i didn’t answer part of your question. i don’t chop buds off a plant that has not been chopped yet. growing pot, to me is a test of patience. if you are snipping buds from a growing plant then you have succumbed to impatience and that should try to be averted at any cost. but that is just me. if it is still growing then it is still getting better.

Scripture.

Clear in the first reply. I’ll check my patience and wait till next weekend.

The spots I’m seeing on many leaves looks like bug damage.

You may want to get those dead :skull_and_crossbones:

Should have seen it Wednesday but when I walked in last night they were pretty thirsty. The soil was a little more dry than I would have liked…

So I gave the big pot about two liters of water. My thought was that the next water would be a tea, but I don’t want em to wait that long.

So the tea is brewing as of this morning and I’ll give it to them tomorrow night or Sunday morning.

Then the Zkittlez buds just keep bulking. I’ll get some more microscope pics tonight or tomorrow.
