Ok this is my first journal on here. I plan to grow 2 Jack Herer auto 1 in Coco Loco mixed with FFOF and the other in FFOF on the bottom 2/3 and 1/3 FFHF to see witch one will yield more. I dropped 2 seeds Friday afternoon and the shell cracked. Put them in paper towel yesterday and this morning both had tap roots.
The one on top is Jack and the one on the bottom is Jill both from ILGM. @dbrn32 @Covertgrower @Bulldognuts @Happilyretired @Nicky @Not2SureYet @Cannabian @kellydans. I’ll try to update this weekly.

My suggestion is to mix both with 30% perlite it really aids in the root development as cannabis likes airey soil.
I also suggest using Mykos on both, do you have a product for this? Great white, tribus, voodoo juice etc.
Also with your soil grow you have the right idea but remember to make a Plug.
Put a wine bottle or something in the center of your pot and fill the 2/3 with ocean forest (with Mykos and perlite pre mixed) then pack it and pull the center plug filling the rest with happy frog Mykos and perlite mix.
This allows your tap root to grow to the bottom fast and easy.

What’s the tent setup? Got a temp controller for your duct fan? Does your exhaust vent outside?
What light are you using?
Lets make sure thats at the right strength. Etc

I forgot the perlite. Yes that’s the way i do it make a plug. My tent is a 3’x3’x6’ have a 4" exhaust fan (no temp controller) and filter ( never used the filter) vented into the room the tent sits in. 2 small fans in the tent and a cool mist humidifier. My light is a HLG 260W QB V1 Led 3000K Been using this setup for a year.

An inkbird temp controller would be a good investment, your using a mushroom bag/ exhale XL if your recirculating air in the same space then right?
Ps looks like you can still go get the perlite you haven’t dropped beans in soil yet right…
The perlite will make a considerable difference.

I’ve been thinking of the AC infinity with the temp/ humidity controller. No Exhale XL the room the tent sit’s in is 11’x12’ with a window at the far end. Will put seeds in to a solo cups tonight or tomorrow. will pick up some perlite and Loco Coco tomorrow to mix it up.

Don’t out the seeds into ocean forest it’s to rich for seedlings, they will live but it’s not optimal at all. Your better off to just leave em in paper towel for another night.
The AC infinity I can highly recommend but if you do use your filter get a good quality one because the lower quality ones really suck the power out of it.
Hopefully you crack that window? Can you put a little fan on that window to encourage airflow in?
An exhale XL is a good option otherwise.
Your plants will grow much better if they can get a lower concentration of oxygen, as they keep circulating that air they just keep increasing the oxygen concentration in that space.

I put my seeds in FFHF in the solo cups. The filter I have I’ve never used we don’t mind the little bit of smell. yes i usually the window opened a little .
