We bought a greenhouse for the spring but Ive never done outside growing. Do you need grow lights or can you rely simply on the sun ?
Any input is appreciated

I agree the sun is all you need. Good luck with your grow I would like to have a green house but I can’t.

Some will use small lights, not for growth but to keep them from going into flower too early. If in a green house some do use supplemental lights for growth. Can’t always guarantee nice sunny days.

As @Low was stating. I would think it depends on the length of time the plants are receiving light. In early spring, my concern would be if they were even close to not getting the hours of light, they may go into flowering sooner than desired.

@Mcanter89 it depends on how much day light you have how many hours is it daylight where you at my friend happy growing

I just looked it up. Equinox, when the sun reaches above the equator and provides equal amounts of 12 hours of sun to darkness is March 21 and September 22. This goes for both hemispheres here on earth. I learned something today too. Awesome!!!
