Lighting and Timing Question!

Hey everyone,
I’ve been growing two Zkittlez feminized girls outside this summer. They’re in 5gal buckets, and I bring them inside when it rains, and I put them by the window underneath a small led grow light (this is the light I use for sprouting plants inside. its not big or great, but it does switch from blue to red and its good enough to get all my vegetables up to snuff for transplanting to the garden, so i figured its good enough to supplement a few hours a day when they cant be outside).
Theyre half way through flowering at this point.

Where i live, the path of the sun has changed so now, my yard only gets about 5 hours of direct sunlight. For about a week now, ive been bringing the girls inside when the sun goes behind the house, putting them under the grow light next to the window until sunset, and in the morning, when the sun is up i turn the lights back on and bring them outside when the yard is in direct sunlight.

So here’s my question.
Is it better for the girls if I keep doing what I’m doing to keep them at a 12 hour on/ 12 hour off light schedule? Or, would it be better for me to just leave them outside all day, whether they’re in direct sunlight or not, and definitely not getting 12 hours of light???

Please let me know what you guys think Thanks!

-John

It would be best to put your lights in a timer outside.
The plants don’t need direct sunlight.

The only lights outside are the sun, and I know they don’t need direct sunlight. I guess the question I’m really trying to find the answer to is, is indirect sunlight better than being under a grow light?

Oh that’s easy to tell.
Download a LUX meter app on your smart phone.

Depends on the size of these light sand the spread of them really but I would put my money in indirect sunlight.

Let us know what you find.
Can you tell us what type of lights they are exactly? Or take a pic?
