Light question. Can I put my outdoor plants under my grow lights when weather is bad?and then put them back out.
Yes you can. Just keep in mind their lighting schedule.
Looks like my lab. I’m not sure what the schedule should be for 14 day old plants. I’m a newbie.I move them around and they get 5 or 6 hours of direct and then 5 or 6 hours indirect. Days here in northern Fl hot humid and plenty of sun.
Are they auto flowering or photo plants?
Auto flowering- the light schedule doesn’t matter
Photo plants- if they were indoor you would want a minimum of 14 hours of light a day. Once they start receiving 12 hours of light and 12 hours dark they will start going into flowering. Since they are so young you still need them to Veg for awhile longer. I don’t grow outside but I would guess you want to maximize the light for the girls at this point.

Any advice?
Thanks. They are auto. I also have a question regarding the the first time feeding. When should that happen?how old should the plants be?
There is some debate about this.
The general rule of thumb is not before the 4th or 5th set of true leaves. And also after the feeder leaves (small round leaves) yellow and fall off. There is enough nutrients stored in those feeder leaves for the plant to survive for a couple of weeks.
Also depends what kind of soil you’re in. Fox Farm Ocean Forest already has a lot of nutrients in the soil so you can probably go a couple more weeks with just water.
When your plants are seedlings it’s important to not overwater them. But once you start doing full waterings to runoff you’ll want to measure the ph and ppm. The ppm will measure how much nutrients are still in the soil and will give you an idea when to start feedings.
Hope this helps!
Also when you need sone help just tag me with an @ and then my name ( or anyone else’s) so that we get a notification!
I have a ph meter on order. I also have a 5 1 1 fish emulsion that I can measure pretty closely and plan to use for fert. How can I measure ppm or the soil itself?
You’ll want a TDS meter to go with your ph meter.
You can test the TDS of the runoff water and it will give you a good idea of where the soil is.
Makes sense. Thanks for the help. Let me get the tools and knowledge I need .
Respect your comments.
No worries. Tag me if you need help.
I’m pretty new myself but have been on this forum religiously so I’ve read quite a bit.
I think we live here!
Haha for reals!
Pretty funny actually- my wife spends he time on mommy and baby forums. I spend it on a pot forum lol!
@Bluto I am on my very first grow as well. If it wasn’t for the good folks here, there’s no telling where I’d be. I’m 5 weeks in from sprout today and this is what my girls look like. They are White Widow auto’s.
Hi:
They look great. Mine are small yet but coming along. One AK-47 and one skunk. I hope the humidity here doesn’t get to them. Thinking about nutrients now. What do you use?
It’s been extremely humid here. No problem for these girls. I’m using the FF trio. Didn’t care for the Grow Big. The Big Bud has been awesome though.
