My 1st grow
I’ve got 4 autos. Limited knowledge. I’ve read and think I’ve done aight so far??
Soiled in miracle grow
3 gallon fabric pots
2x1000w led
150 hps
Carboon filter and outtake
Oscillating fan
Temp 63-95 night/day
RH 70-38 night/day
I’m trying to grow the stankest of the dankest!!
Beginners, Pros I need your tips!
Welcome to the community @StankDanky
Your plants look remarkably good for MG soil.
You will find many here that have a less than favorable opinion on anything from MG. It is kind of a dirty word around here. LOL
I agree, you would be better to probably start doing some research into growing in a different media. The time release nutrients typically found in mg can make it difficult at times.
Lights on temp in 90’s can be troublesome too, especially with low RH. Ideal temp for hps is in 70’s, and led low 80’s. If you could get to around there would be solid. Then download a vpd chart and work on getting humidity in line.
hey thanks for the tag @Woodrow yes i ve used miracle grow on each of my 3 grows so far and so far i have had zero real issues other than my own patience and chopping too early. other than that no problem. i haven’t grown anything but autos yet indoor beside starting my seeds for outside. can i grow photos in miracle grow? i dont know but i guess we will see on one of my future grows. my next grow starting likely in August will i will be looking for redemption and retrying the two strains i chopped way to early. will be growing 1 white widow 1 wedding cake another GSCA and another Devil XXL auto. and yes we will be using miracle grow. feel free to tag along. i will say if you are looking to grow the stankiest and dankiest of weed then you dont want to use miracle grow. you will want to listen to the pros on this forum and switch to something more cannabis friendly. but if your looking at growing some good decent weed for your own personal standards then hey why not use what works.
Hey @Dr.ofSmokology i am doing my morning read and I am curious which miracle grow you use? I hope y’all don’t mind me slipping into your conversation! THANK YOU
Still learning as well, but it seems mg affects photos more. Maybe because the auto process is so fast the slow release actually doesn’t release it time? I have my autos outdoors in mg, and I’m about to hit week 6, week 2 of flowering and she is starting to stink…and I think I’m in love.
Welcome!!! They look good!! If you like the results you get stay with M.grow! Next grow look into organic dirt! You don’t want to taste MG chemicals!! Flush the ones you have good at the end!!!
I failed an exam this morning but my girls haven’t failed.
Is it abnormal to smell pungent lemon wood earthy two weeks into flowering ?!
It’s smelling DANK already!!
How should bud look and smell at 2nd week flowering??
They should look and smell just as shown and described.
As far as the nutes, they will tell you if it is too much. Watch for any tip burning or discoloration on the leaves. I would be wary of giving them too much as flushing to correct may be counter productive in MG soil.
flushing with miracle grow is pointless as each time you add water it releases more nutrients. just gonna be feeding feeding and feeding. i have used MG on each of my grows. you just gotta find that sweet spot when it comes to water volume and frequency when using MG. i strongly believe i have found that spot. check out my threads for using MG.
Fellow Cannabis aficionados
Just a few updated of the
1x GG is in week 3 flowering and the other 2 weeks flower
1x BB 2 weeks flowering
1x GSC 1 week flowering
Grow room temp is still a hot issue but the plants aren’t stressing
I used organic liquid kelp cuz I heard it helps mitigate heat ( anyone else try it?)
Is it time to start trimming? Where do I begin and how much do I trim?
ILGM family
Trimming you say?
Well trimming is a personal choice and there are as many techniques as growers.
My 2 cents is to clear out a lot of the undergrowth for better airflow. Anything that is directly under the main canopy about 1/3 of the way from soil level up is on the table. That includes any bud sites that will not produce much anyway.
For the top part, try to “tuck” any fan leaves that cover or shade buds. Clip them if they won’t stay tucked.
Other than that any damaged or yellowing leaves can be removed.
Just do not take out too much at once and stress her out.
Your plants are not so bushy and compact to the point where trimming is really necessary.
