I can’t find the pollen sack on the soil; it was tiny, so I don’t know if that could be a problem, i.e. if it’s too immature to be a concern. I was thinking of putting some soil down, so that if it should open, then any pollen has a good chance of staying in the soil, I hope.
Any input?

Mist the whole top of the soil with some pH’d water and forget about it.

Just once? For a couple days?
If the sack is at all viable, do you know for how long will it remain so?

Once is fine, its not going to pop like a balloon.
If twice, thrice or four score an twenty makes you more comfortable, no harm.
