I need help I’m really stumped

Hey guys this is my cherry ak autoflower, she’s on day 47 and no matter how much I trim and tuck fan leaves she just fills out again overnight. There’s a lot of bud sites hidden and I would like to open them. Will trimming all these damn fan leaves actually hurt her especially if I keep the bigger bottom fan leaves to help her recover ? Really just wanna lollipop her but supposedly that’s a no go with auto flowers.

Nice! You have a super healthy plant. Trim as necessary so that the plant has good airflow.

Have a fan blowing over the canopy to aid airflow. You can safely trim ~25% of foliage now. Trim with the intent of improving airflow within the plant’s canopy.

you can pretty much take as much as you want as long as it’s not in flower once it starts to flower it’s not gonna kick out as many leaves and it’s gonna stretch so you should be all right. You just have to be careful with an auto not to stress it out. But like the person above me is very healthy plant looks great to me

She has white pistils already :frowning: that’s why I’m so conflicted. If she wasn’t showing flowering stage I would have defoliated already

Thank you ! Even if she has white pistils would you defoliate ?

I would. Maintaining airflow is very important, particularly during flowering.

Okay so once I see actual buds leave it alone. Got it thank you ! Everyone is always saying not to defoliate autoflowers cause of their recovery time. There’s literally at least 20-30 more bud sites under all those fan leaves and I feel like leaving them covered would decrease yield more then cutting some of these leaves off

This is false. Some training methods should be limited with autos. Defoliation is not one of them. It is necessary for plant health and to mitigate mold risk.

Copy thanks for the information , I’m gonna give her a nice haircut rn

Don’t overdo it. Just improve airflow within the plant’s canopy.

Your plant looks great.

Nice looking Auto Grow Bro, I grow both autos and photos and train and defoliate them the same. A preflower, day 21 and 42 of flower. Defoliate just enough to expose bud sites for light penetration and air flow :love_you_gesture:

Gelato Auto o. 9/29

Same plant on 10/27
