As some of you may or may not know I had a bit of an emergency and had to jam five seedlings into used soil pronto and it was dr. Bugbees original research soil basically 50 peat/ 50 and 40 vermiculite and a bit lime/ gypsum. Now however FYI it seems as though there’s a ph imbalance and or perhaps cal mag.
A feeding to run off produce decent results and they were as follows
Plant : PH / EC
Now the two that have very minor defoliation( princess/ royal pain jk)
Anyhow small copper/ rusty looking spots on the leaf surface but it isn’t present on the bottom.
Additionally there is no evidence of spore/powder or other wise.
So I’m guessing cal mag but not having any experience with it previously I only evaluated by what resources were available none of which produced any photos of anything that resembles my plants. It started off as one then the second a week later.but to a lesser degree.
Regardless puter blew up and I’m using the phone for this and I’m no guru with any of it. So forgive if it’s all .…
The second plant has just three spots on different leaves thus far.and it appears as if it is not an issue anymore…(for today)
The first plant however is a bit queer as it has three bladed fan leaves top to bottom.
None the less. These poor things have really been through a lot.
So if anyone recognizes this affliction…oh yeah by the way one is a Whiskey Zulu auto and the other is a Skywalker Haze auto. And I’m guessing these two just wound up with the short end of the straw and the saltiest/ depleted reused substrate.
There was no visible indication of insects though a few appeared on my butterfly shaped stickier then shot fly catchers. I was not alarmed as I have been harvesting and canning garden fodder and they’re all part of the process.
The soil was sifted through and aerated/dried beyond any extreme measure and rewetted with distilled h2O.
There were no amendments. Just feeding ff trio at 50% at or on day 6-7 in the soil 4 nodes tall and no apparent deficiencies.
Just whipped a little cal mag at them twice and held off on silica because their in early flower and I’ve read silica is a slow release and needs to be applied very early on and throughout sparingly to be a factor beneficial to the plants healthy growth in veg and the benefits of it are negligible at best if applied this late.
So if anyone can identify or question for info feel free and ty
I will do so shortly and I looked into that very article and so many others and leaf septoria is to my knowledge is also present on the underside of the leaf as well.
It is only on the top and the effected leaves are not adjacent to each other. Nor is it every node but skips one or two and when it is present it is on all fan leaves for that node. Also only on the main stem/ trunk only and not peripheral limbs.
So it just leads me to consider a deficiency or perhaps a substance I introduced in a feeding they didn’t like or who knows. My log has all the feedings, nothing but molasses, ff trio in very conservative amounts, distilled water, cal mag.
I bet it’s just a case of early neglect coupled with auto flowering cannabis. You passed veg state and are into flower. Your temp/humidity is good so I would concentrate of feeding some phosphate till the end.
This does resemble it and perhaps fish emulsion 0-10-10 would be beneficial.
I have obviously the ff trio component big bloom but I think the fish emulsions would be quicker releasing.
Had it been earlier on for these SHA’s and a WZA it’s likely too late to acquire your recommendation. Next grow I will likely implement it toward the middle of veg for my 4 sour diesel autos will be some raw bat guano and worm castings top dress, and let that boogie brew compost tea rip through that.
For now , if these poor things don’t respond to fish emulsion perhaps a light top dress of bone meal would suffice but with just 3-5 weeks left……
What do you think?
I have nothing near to acquire any thing I don’t already have in under 5 days.
I live where Jesus lost his shoes. It’s awesome . All the ignorant silliness is not permitted on property.
I’ll appreciate your efforts and ty.
I must step away and harvest some pond shield for my compost bin
Have you been watering and feeding to liberal run off? If not the medium most likely has an accumulation of salt build up from the FF trio and preventing certain nutrient absorption. Initial observation is she is overly nitrogen rich
How much calmag are you giving them.your tds/ph numbers are not terrible. Could use a little improvement. Have you flushed yet considering your using ff? In my opinion uyou got a calcium deficiency. Either caused from build up which i dont think is case but possible, or not using enough. I had a big calmag deficiency using jacks in soil, so on my water only days i started giving them 5ml per gal and it went away. Strong led’s will require strong calmag feeds.
Plant number to identify one from another.
2 represents the last digit of the calendar year and the second number is a specific plant number corresponding to the seed planted in numerical order . 2-22 would represented the 22nd seed planted in the year 2022.
( second digit of calendar year- all time sequential numerical order of seed planted)
As in Feb 14? Sorry Growmie still confused. Typical PPM nutrient readings are triple digits. 800, 900, 750 etc… or the EC readings you’ve posted as in the EC 1.73 is roughly 850 PPMs either will work just the 1st digits are throwing me off
