Let us know how that tastes. I really want an honest smoke report. My experience with smoking the stuff I’ve grown in mg was not pleasant at all. That time release n is a killer. You can’t necessarily see it but I’ll be surprised if you truly enjoy the smoke. If you put that same plant in good soil you would not recognize it’s the same plant.

Forgot to say if you can grow that in Mg I’d love to see what you could pull off in something more suitable for this plant. It is pretty impressive knowing it was grown in that.

I’m up for a challenge. We get the same strains, whoever wants can grow in MG, I’ll grow in my soil. We can document it here and see who grows a better plant. Winner gets to say they are right and the loser can never say miracle grow here again. Any takers? I’m not saying I know who will win. I’m just saying lol.

You can see my grows 7 thru 15 only use miracle grow potting mix. I get great results, it is a difficult medium I agree but I love the weed I grow in my closet averaging 4.2 ounce per plant of beautiful dense bud. Proven over and over.

Plants I grew in MG and if you notice they look similar to some of the plants you grew. Crispy and very stressed.

These were not grown in mg soil. Can you tell a difference?

I prob just need to keep my opinions to myself on the whole miracle grow topic. I don’t want to upset anyone. I’m new here so I should know my place. I’m on it simply because for so many yrs I used that stuff. Everyone said not to and I like to do the opposite of what everyone else does. I think it’s in our rebellious nature idk. Once it was explained to me that you will never get the max out of your plants no matter what growing in that I decide to switch. I want to get all I can out of my plants. I could have been doing this long ago if I had just tried. Lol. Why not try it another way? Just saying

Most excellent, but there can be a million variables that can responsible. My plants dont grow great big colas as I only have 25 watts per sq foot, but I do ok for lights only no ventilation or anything.

These were finished off in my buddies tent lol

Watering habits are the biggest factor in people’s problems trying to get air to the root by drying them out, I don’t ever let my soil dry the way people advise stresses plants ,no water no green healthy plants like my last two in grow 15 these were happy healthy plants, and I do a tutorials at the beginning of each grow on Watering small plants in a big pot without over Watering. Here are healthy plants watered properly

This is how all my grows start, due to Watering habits :+1:

Nah. That is why we are all here and we all grow using diff methods and in all parts of the world. An open mind is a receptive one. If something works for you, do you!!

Agreed. It’s ok to have different opinions and it’s actually good. Just everyone needs to be respectful.

Not to be overly confrontational but I totally disagree with both of these statements. I’ve shared plenty of my weed with hard core stoners and the feedback I’ve received is overwhelmingly positive on all benchmarks. I have not only used their soil but the nutes as well. Your taste issues may have more to do with your cure.

I’m of the opinion that a lot of people jump on the ideas they hear on boards like this with not much prior personal experience and just regurgitate and spew out the things that others negatively pound into them.

MG gets the wrap that Walmart and Amazon get. That argument I want no part of……

Anyone who wants to see what can easily be done with MG products feel free to start at the beginning of my journal. I’ve recorded all of my experiences and experiments-the good the bad and the fugly lol.

To be fair, it’s the internet and you can get six different answers to the same question

You juat have to consider everything and then form your own conclusions based in experience.

But it helps to hear all the different points of view I think

That’s ok if you do not agree. It will not change my mind. I have all the proof I need and I’m sure others will see this and share the same opinion as I do. Lots of ways to grow but not all are good or appropriate at all for this plant. This comes from experience. I hear everyone say “yes it’s a challenging media to grow in” so if this is the consensus why do it? I have tired it at least 10 times with Mg. Never again. It’s garbage for real. The results I got were never good. I agree that in the beginning like most I did not know how to cure properly so that certainly did play a part in my end experience. Bud structure and Trichomes production in mg for me over 10 yrs was the same and not good. Burnt spotted up leaves every time. Time release nitrogen is not good for cannabis. cannabis does not need nitrogen at the end of the flowering cycle and in miracle grow it’s still getting it and I find that the smoke is a little bit harsher no matter how how it’s cured compared to plants grown in something else and also cured properly. i’m sure there’s a strain out there that’s tolerant enough and can handle it and produce maybe some half decent results Who knows. All I know is I don’t have the time to search for a strain that can grow in that stuff when it’s so much easier to grow in proper living soil. I’m am currently running the same seed in the same room with better soil and the results are night and day. This is the 1st time I have went without the mg. I’m not regurgitating anything. I am just talking about my observations over a decade my man. Not to mention isn’t everything we learn and talk about regurgitation anyway? I haven’t seen a picture of a plant or a bud or anything in my life grown miracle grow that even compares to the pictures I have put in this feed. I have not seen anything on this site grown in mg worth talking about either. What am missing?. Have you ever tried anything but MG? Just curious if you have and if you saw a difference?. Do you not have any other options but MG? Do you feel that mg is the best medium to grow in? are are you saying there is no difference between potting soils? Why advise new ppl it’s ok to grow in mg when it’s so hard to grow in? I find most try to grow for the first time or 2 in mg and have horrible results and then give up. If they would have used soil that is better suited for cannabis they might not have quit. Some invest a lot of money to grow that first time, they go the cheap route with mg, don’t get good results and then I see $3000 worth of lights and equipment for sale on Craigslists for half price 6 mo later. It’s kinda sad because even people who don’t have a green thumb could grow this plant in something else and actually get something out of it.

I agree especially when growing in living soil if you can maintain about 40% moisture at all times that is ideal so the microbiology is running at full capacity. Microbes go dormant in dry soil.

Can you elaborate?
