Should I use Hydroguard during flowering with coco? Running cannacoco with jacks, tribus, recharge and fishsh!t
I run Hydroguard from start to finish in my DWC tote…
Thanks. Never used the stuff but sounds use full. Any tips for running it in coco?
I don’t use Coco … 2 tablespoons to every 5 gal is my mix
@Retiredoldguy Ph before or after adding?
I adjust PH before adding the hydroguard…it is the last thing I add to the water…it will not change your PH or PPM readings
Not necessary Grow Bro, it’s a root inoculant for Hydroponics or Aeroponics
@OGIncognito Isn’t coco considered hydroponic?
Soil-less hydro Growmie. Feed and PH the same as Hydro
The Hydroguard inoculates the roots preventing or helps prevent pythium. Reservoirs with less than desirable temperatures can have algae start growing and attach to the roots. 70 and below are ideal. It’s not needed in coco or soil
Hydroguard is a bacterial root inoculant that contains Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens. It is designed to decompose organic matter, break down nutrients, and make them readily available for the plant. **HYDROGUARD * also assists in the uptake of nutrients by the roots, which results in larger and higher quality fruits and flowers.
Other root inoculants may contain different types of bacteria or fungi, such as mycorrhizal fungi. Mycorrhizal fungi form a symbiotic relationship with the roots of plants, helping them absorb nutrients and water from the soil.
While Hydroguard is effective in both soil and hydroponic gardens, other root inoculants may be more specialized for one type of garden or the other.
Thanks for all the help. I ordered up some Hydrogaurd. Now what order should I mix everything in?
Silica
Jacks
Ph check
Hydrogaurd
Is that correct?
Yes, always add Silica first as it will raise pH, it’s alkaline.
If you use CalMag, not on your list, but it would go next. It’s also alkaline.
Mix that thoroughly.
I wait about an hour, I try and do that the night before, whilst my air stones bubble the mixture.
If you’re going to drop temperature on your water to between 62-65 You can freeze a 2 liter cola bottle of water in preparation. The colder the water the more O2 it can hold.
Then continue with the nutes.
Check pH and make adjustments then lastly add HYDROGUARD.
