Hydro Setup Question

Hello, I’m new here. Are two 5gal DWC pots practical for a 3x3 tent or would it be more beneficial to downgrade to one 5gal pot? I’m open to any suggestions.

Or would it be more practical for two 5gal buckets in a 4x4?

@Veva that sounds about perfect.

@Bluemm The 2 buckets in the 3x3 or 4x4? I’d prefer the 3x3 due to space but I don’t want the plants cramped and unhealthy.

@Veva if you have not bought yet get the 4x4. You will regret getting a samller tent. I have a 2’ deep 4’ tall and 4’ wide, and i dont even use it. But that does get my wheels a turning.

@Bluemm Thanks for the advice. The two tents I have in mind are 3.5x3.5x5.7 & 4x4x6.5

The 3’x3’ will work for two 5 gallon dwc buckets. Just do a SCROG with 2 or 3 layers of trellis. And with dwc dont veg too long. @Veva

3.5’ x 3.5’ will be perfect, and get the taller one if you have the space. @Veva

Ok let me say this … since growing in hydro plants grow on average 30% quicker and bigger than soil. I recommend a 4x4 tent for 2 five gallon buckets. Also it’s important to know these plants grown in hydro grow quicker so learn to top, lst, and scrog . If you plan on vegging past 4 weeks because if you don’t they can easily reach the light .

This is 1 plant in dwc 5 gallon bubble bucket that vegged for 6 weeks and took 12 weeks of flowering to finish. However I will say I recommend hydroponics over soil any day of the week. But that’s my personal opinion. Also keep ph 5.8 but as you can see 1 plant if done right can easily fill a 4x4
