Hello everyone, at the moment I have a 2x4 tent with a mars hydro 300watt light and 2 plants in 7 gallon grow bags in soil. I also have a 5x5 with a 800 watt mars hydro light with 4 plants in 5 gallon dwc containers (hydro). I plan on making my 2x4 a veg tent and my 5x5 a flower tent. I also plan to scrog the 5x5. My question is can I move all those plants to flower in the 5x5? Will that be enough space for 4 plants in 5 gallon containers and 2 plants in 7 gallon? I want to veg in the 2x4 about a month before my harvest so I can rotate plants from veg to flower and harvest around every 60 days
Please dont start duplicate threads.
I didn’t mean too. It won’t let me edit but I’ll figure it out.
Hakuna matata everyone. The other thread is tossed (i think). Lets keep it civil and help the man out.
Thank you @PurpNGold74
You can do it mite get a little crowded it there but definitely doable
Yup it will get a bit tight. Typically my plants get to around 2x2 or just under it. Thats with no scrog. That means the 4 - 5 gallons will fit like a glove with some wiggle room to spare.
The 2 - 7 gallons will typically get bigger (more root space) and maybe tough to fit. But not impossible. What size scrog nets do you intend on running?
Sidenote: Spiney was just helping, its forum policy (saves space) to point out duplicates.
I intend on using a 5x5 scrog net to fill all horizontal space .
So all 6 plants in the same screen?!?! Jesus my back hurts just thinking about watering/trimming for airflow.
Again not entirely impossible but definitely notgonna be easy or the most feasible plan
Ok than I’ll probably just start the veg and flower tent after this harvest. Thank you for the advice !
I wouldnt recomend shoving so many plants in one space. Can you…sure
Should you…probably not.
Gonna be a pain to manage, and im not sure that the potential “additional” flower would be worth it.
Dont judge by space for pots, judge by watts per plant. Shoot for 150 watts per plant.
Also be sure you have enough dehumidified air to remove all the humidity jammed into that space, lotsa flowers means lotsa moisture.
Thank you @Docnraq , as I was saying to @PurpNGold74 im gonna go with both of your advice and just keep the plants where they are at. After this harvest I am gonna start vegging in the 2x4 and flowering in the 5x5. I think I’m gonna do a coco / perlite 70/30 mix . I’ve been messing around with soil and hydro and that seems like a good middle ground to me . I’m thinking of vegging In 1 gallon grow bags in the 2x4 and then transplanting to 5 gallon grow bags and move to the 5x5 for flowering. What do you guys think of this idea ?
Seems reasonable to me. Unless your doing autoflowers, then id say skip the grow bag. Even that though is growers preference. Seems well thought out @matty777
I’ll only be running photos
@matty777 see above. I closed the other one. Would u prefer to keep this one or the one you just started?
