Huge cotyledons!

Hey guys I’ve done quite a few grows now and my cotyledons have always been pretty average in size. However this time around time getting some pretty large cotyledons. I know they give the plants the energy they need to grow initially. I just find it interesting and can’t find any information on what this means towards the grow. I don’t see it as a bad thing by any mean. But I wonder if the codyledons are larger, are the plants getting more energy to grow? I’ve seen where people will trim them ( I will not be doing this) so that more energy goes into the plants growth rather than just the codyledons. Any information would be greatly appreciated! I’ll post some pictures later today. The strains I’m working with right now are blue dream, gorilla glue, mk ultra, gold leaf, and girlscout cookies extreme. They are all under artificial light, 24 hours on for the first two weeks. The 24 hr light cycle may have a part in it, I usually do 18/6 but I wanted to give this a try once. Any information about the codyledons would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys, once again picture will be coming later!

Really they are a nutrient reserve for the developing plant. You have a little more reserve than others. Just wait until they yellow before feeding.

So seeing they have an extra supply, do you thing I should treat them as if they are seedlings for a bit longer? Ive got them on 24 hrs light (usually do 18/6) and was planning on switching after a couple of weeks. I’m probably going to to do some experimenting with some of these plants. I’d love to see how large I could get them. I’m almost at week two of the grow and everyday they’re larger. I’m probably looking too much into this… Haha

Keep on 24/0 until the cots yellow. Then treat them as rooted.
