Getting down to the wire and I don’t want to see em go, have been my friends since September, how do I harvest a mother tree? First photoperiod harvest. Also the yellowing leaves at this stage, should I remove?with about 3-6 weeks to go, depending on how I want to stretch them.

Yes. If the fan leaf are yellowing for whatever reason they should be removed. This will allow more light to reach the plant, improve airflow and utilize the nutrients and energy being used by the effected leaves to be used elsewhere. You should however be considerate and minimize the amount of trimming during the flowering stage of the plant whereas you do not want it to stress.

This is however a debated issue. Some people say no way should you remove yellowing leaves but I’ve seen plants that were practically naked where the defoliation was done so much. Others will also chime in on your post so wait until the members with the most experience lead and direct you in your decision making.

Yea I trimmed my auto, and I said I would let them stay the duration on these photos, because I’ve read those same things, most of them I comb thru and they fall off anyway, that’s why I’m asking, because I don’t want to waste energy, but I’m scared to take energy🤔

If I can’t do some tying down that gets buds better exposed to light I’ll move them or remove them otherwise I leave the leaves as they are a source of mobile nutrients for where it might be needed NPK etc

Are you asking how to keeo this photo period plant as a mother plant so you can flower it again or take clones?

I would once they are completely yellow. If still green or partly green I would probably leave them.

Take 10 cuttings from inside along main stem. Small bud prefered with nice green leaves. Nice length. Straight to a cup of water. All 10. Make sure either the solo with dirt is ready for each or however you will clone. Diagonal cut along bottom of stem to expose a little core. Dip in a rooting gel or powder. Plant immediatly.
You are trying to revert to veg from flower. PATIENCE!!!
The clones will be slow. Ugly. Scary. Dont worry just wait them out. 7 die and 3 live and revert you are golden. The clones will explode and flower a week or so faster than mother. Thats it. Getem now. That girl is eating herself right now. I have done oh shit need clone pulls before. Make sure any bud is removed. We want just green leaf.

Yes my main question is how to harvest a mother tree, I understand how to do cuttings, even though I’ve never been successful, I thought there was a way I could keep the tree, and bring it back around to veg,and back again? Never harvested a photoperiod, and only have done 1 auto.

Once Im ready to take buds off of tree, is it possible to “pluck” like fruit, instead of cutting tree down? Maybe a dumb question?

Ahh yea. There is. Just harvest down to bottom branches. Flip light back to 18 and go back to veg nutes.

The plant will go back into veg. Slowly at first. You will see new growth. Might be ugly leaves. No worries if its new. Once she has completed her change she will explode. Treat as a reg photo in veg stage till want to flip.

Personally I go for a clone run since both are slow and get 3-5 solid plants vs 1 reveged. Just me.

Never used cinnamon.
