So I chopped my autoflower 11 days ago and hung them upside down in my tent. I plan on doing a dry trim.
The temp in the tent is around 63 degrees and the humidity is around 50-55%.
From what I read you should get a good crack when you bend the stems to know when it’s dry. But they are all still bendy with no snap.
Do I just keep waiting?
Or should I trim them and jar them?
Low and slow is the best.
Yep. Too soon and you’ll chance mold growth.
So the goal is to get a good snap on the branches?
Yes. Then jar and cure for a few weeks. I’m planning on Grove bags next harvest. The way I understand it, the process is extremely streamlined with them.
10-14 days hanging is prefect ![]()
Looks like @oldmarine has got you going down the correct path. Once the stems snapps due to hanging/drying we like to toss the uncut branches into large totes. This allows any extra moisture from the interior of the stem to be pulled to the exterior of the flower. (This step adds greatly to the end smell)
Once the product has been in the tubs for a few days, burping each day, we trim.
Happy growing…
Is that an art display? Looks like fine art.
@oldmarine It’s me favorite kind of art ![]()
Dont worry u have got this ur temp and humidity is at a good level a few more days and u should hear that snap
It’s just. It’s so. I can’t. Wow.
Good info! I never heard of the large tote approach. It is arid here for nine months and for three months of the year we run a swamp cooler so humidity is high. I have not found a good process yet.
I finish mine in large totes before final trim it allows me to get the moisture level right where I want it before putting it in grove bags or jars.
Welcome. Out of likes or I’d get one lol. I’d say try to take a branch or 2 and trim it up and jar it with meters for 12 to 24 hrs and see what it holds in the jar with that if still too high wait it out if ok do ur thang good luck
