How much longer is the veg time

First time outdoor grower. I’m wondering how much longer the veg season is before flowering starts. I’m in Missouri. My plant is on day 44, and is 34” tall. Asking because I want to be able to roll into the garage once the buds start getting large to help avoid rot. The garage opening is 82”. The cart is 26” tall. Growing an inch a day. Godfather OG photo. Don’t want to do anymore topping. Did once already.

You can find out your day length from any weather website. Indoor growers sets their light to 12/12 for flowering to guarantee flowering, but cannabis is capable of flowering with as much as 14 hours of light per day.

Yeah, I’ve grown many plants indoors, this is my first outdoor one. Just wondering when I might expect to see flowers starting. Mid July, mid August?

Look up your day length. It varies across the country. Southern states will have a longer day length than northern states.

Hello from Missouri also!

Yo. Do you grow outside here?

No, I have a tent in my basement. Neighbors are too close.

The last 2 outdoor grows here in MD my plants all started flowering shortly after the Summer Solstice. By the first week in Aug I saw pistols forming. They’ll sense the shortening daylight.

You probably have until the beginning-middle of August til they start. Watch out if you’re in any of these high heat areas. We’ve been fighting hard to keep cool down south. I just chopped an auto that turned to fluff from the heat and am not even trying anymore outdoor this year.

That gives me a good idea. Still a lot of veg time left then. Yeah, it’s hot here. Upper 80’s.

You can use some LST to keep the height down a bit, if the height looks like it will be close to your limit.

From my experience around the first week of august on east coast.

On the outdoor grow they start mid August. I have a hard time to get some strains to harvest to harvest before frost. Late October or early November.

Hmmm, July 1 and I’ve got a pre flower here and there, but that’s it. 5 or 6 weeks of veg left then. If that’s the case then you’re right. It’ll be close to frost.

I have two that went into preflower due to a month of cold cloudy weather. They are revegging now and look pretty funky.
