This has probably been asked before, but do outdoor plants have the same flowering time as indoor? I know indoors they take around 9 to 10 weeks. This plant started flowering 10 days ago (pic from 10 days ago and today). My first outdoor plant. Just wondering if I should still plan on 8 to 10 weeks, or until end of growing season (first frost).
Usually outdoor is longer. That is mainly because the shortening of daylight changes gradually. Indoors, it’s a flip straight to 12 hours light / 12 dark (although some people do their flip gradually as well).
Seems like you’re flowering very early outdoors, though that’s not a bad thing. Are you growing an auto flower, or maybe up in the north?
She looks great by the way. Well done.
I’m in Missouri. It’s a photo. Godfather OG. I thought it was flowering early too, and I don’t know why. Kind of why I was asking.
That’s strange then for sure.
How long was it growing before it started flowering? If it wasn’t too long, maybe you got an autoflower seed by mistake.
Might be a blessing in disguise, you could have some awesome bud ready by September. You’ll get more, and stronger sun, during flower because it’s now through to September.
I have seen others from MO with outdoor plants starting to flower. You figure 8 to 10 weeks puts you into Oct. Never know what kinda weather we can have here then. Lol
Have to beat the frost.
There’s a few outdoors growers that have some strains starting to button up. Probably all this dadgum heat!
It broke ground May 8, so it vegged for over 9 weeks. Pretty sure it’s not an auto. Pretty tall for an auto too, and I topped it.
I agree with you, doesn’t seem like an auto. She just flowered early for ya!
Cool, now if I can keep it caterpillar free, i ought to be in business by Oct. 1 then. I bought some thuricide to start treating with, and have been using captain jacks up until now.
