How much should i use on my hlg 650r on the dial ? Im using the ppfd app .but i need simpler knowledge. Ya feel me?
I run a 600r , 350r , and a Blackbird. What ive learned is to use the photone app as a guide. Start at your lowest setting at 18 to 24 inches above canopy. Check your ppfd at this height. If not adequate, bump up a click until the desired ppfd is reached. Ive never used DLI , guess i just dont understand it and am lazy. Now, when you reach your desires ppfd, eighter drop your light a few inches or give it one more click. Monitor your plants for a day or 2 and see how they act. If they arent showing any kinds of stress, then let em rip tater chip. Just remember that different strains will act differently. Just be prepared to make adjustments as needed. I found it easier to control temps this way.

Id keep 24" high and 180-200PPFD
If i have a hlg 650r light i use the ppfd app and see the ppfd says 450ish good and dli says good…i dont necessarily going to use the max on my grows?
