How many autos in a 4x4?

Totally understand. Wasnt a flame. Just an observation.

Some people don’t transplant autos at all and go straight into their forever home. I personally don’t do that, I go the solo cup route until the fan leaves begin growing larger in diameter than the cup. Autos are fairly straight forward as long as genetics are good. Knock on wood, never had an issue that was genetic related. If I were in your shoes, I’d go ahead and drop 2 beans. Start there and get a routine going, then after about 3-4 weeks, drop another 2. This allows you to dry and cure two plants at a time, I find working in batches is easier on me trimming and packaging. I’m also using a Cannatrol nowadays, so my dry and cure is only 8 days total. Staggering also let’s you know what other items you might need to get as you learn more. Hope that helps lol, made sense in my high brain.

@Highwayman420 yes im sorry if i didnt explain that well enough. i was meaning the multiple pot sizes for photos. i bought the 6pk of the 2.2 or 3 gallon air pots only. my plan was to plant the germinated seed directly into the air pot and let it roll. but now it looks like ill be placing a fabric bag order as well. what sizes do i need for photos please? and will i still be able to use my flora flex matrix (9"-10.5") tops on all the bag sizes?

You can either go 3 gal or 5 gal fabric pots. I use 3 gal to save some space, never had any growth problems. I’m not sure on the flora flex matrix tbh

@Highwayman420 for your photos?

I use 3 gal for both, no issues. I just veg them a shorter time so they aren’t too big.

Those are 2.2 gal, I’d go bigger if it were me.

I did a mix of both. First grow is 4 and 4, has been cool seeing the differences and learning.

Tbh in my opinion and it’s just that. If you have room for continuous drying I would go with photoperiod. Only for the timing and being a first time grower. I did start with autos and photoperiods. If I had it all to do again I would have just started photoperiod. During the winter I do my auto’s and have a system to handle the different flowing times. I started 9 plants First week of December. I have harvested two of them and will be doing at least one plant a week as they ripen. If I would have don photoperiod they all would be chopped pretty much together. I know there is a wide audience here and all have strong opinions, including myself. I found a system that works for me and you will do the same. But every single time I do my auto grow I say this phrase dam I did too many and I hate they don’t finish together. At the end of it all I forget and do the aame thing next year. The only issue is the flowering times and ability to continously dry.

Thank you for the advice… Im going to start with photos, do they work well with high frequency fertigation?

I personally have never grown this way. But since it’s a growing process and has been proven, I would guess so. So long aa you have the setup. Proper medium.

Im working on all the above. My floraflex platforms and matrix watering system will be here friday. Then get all that set up and on to the next step.

So a little update… got my humidifier in, floor built, plumbing done and most of it is buttoned up. Not much more!

Nice setup. One thing you may want to change is the bend in the humidifier tubing. You want that as straight as you can in my experience. Maybe compress the tubing to make it shorter and as vertical as possible. Or use the top vent in the tent. That is what I do.

Your setup may work, just check to see if getting backflow.

Thank you! That’s as compressed as it gets, i thought about running it towards the top but if it WAS to drip i don’t want it dripping on my light.

I did add this 45°

I have seen people make a drip cup thing at the end of hose to catch drips of water. I don’t have that issue, but some do. The mist does not hurt my lights. I think it is pretty standard to use top vent.
