I am growing Super Lemon Haze feminized. I am entering week 10 today. Can anyone tell me how my plants are looking? This is only my 2nd grow and I am by no means an expert, however, I feel like the buds are very small for 10 weeks. Trichomes are clear/cloudy-no amber, and the pistols are starting to turn orange/brown. I have been maintaining temps 75-77, with humidity 45-46. Light schedule 12/12. Watering every 2-3 days. Nuts every other watering.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Got a pic of the whole plant?
Also what lights are you using?

I do not have a lot of money to invest in typical professional grow equipment, so I have done the best I can with what I have. I planted all five seeds at the same time and all of them have grown differently, with three being slightly behind my two main plants. One is very small, not even a foot tall.
I can truly relate to not having a lot to spend. But the most important thing is the light. You don’t have proper lights.
How much light do I need? I figured the grow lights combined with the natural light the room gets would be sufficient, especially since I was under the impression auto flowers were not dependent on light to go through their cycles. Again, inexperienced grower here.
I will hook you up with the light man. @dbrn32 can you help?
Yeah lack of adequate lighting = small skimpy buds. Those “100 watt LED grow bulbs” are more in the 5-20 real watt range depending on model.
If you want big dense buds, got to invest some money into a decent light like a HLG 260 Rspec.
Correct, but it takes a certain amount of light intensity to get big dense buds, which you are lacking.
Unfortunately, I can’t afford to drop $300 plus on a grow light. Can you recommend cheaper yet still efficient alternatives? Will changing up the lighting do much at this stage, given I only have four to five weeks left in the grow?
This is what I set up in an unused bathroom. PVC light tower and a couple crappie blurples. Total light draw of the two is 250 watts. They cover a 24x24" frame.
I did not know squat about lights at the time and wish I would have spent the $150 on a better light.
What I am trying to get to is it can be done inexpensively in some ways. Also, scale the size of the grow to the amount and quality of the light. I grew one plant in that space. It yielded just under 6 oz.
Later on I did a little upgrading. I wrapped the frame in mylar and a new light (400 watt Sonofarm SF4000)
This is one plant a month before harvest
This plant yielded a little over 12oz
As good as light as you can afford. Learn to train and prune your plants to optimize flowers. A single main stem is OK for outside. But indoor under stationary lights you need a big flat surface of buds.
A light source that may be worth looking into is ECO Farm. It apparently is a Canadian seller of Chinese lights. Here is an example of a HLG knock off
Not shown is SAVE32 discount offer. So rather than $243 you are looking at $165. No idea if they are trustworthy, warranty service etc but strictly on price hard to find it for less
It might help a little. But if it is getting a lower quality light now vs waiting and getting a better light later, I would wait till later.
What he said absolutely . Don’t learn the hard way.
Yeah it’s cheaper in the long run to buy good equipment the first time rather than buying crap that you’ll end up replacing with good equipment.
Yep
Looks like you have been helped. I thought it was the light from the first photo but wanted to make sure. Cheapest way is pure sunshine but wrong time of year for plants.
I realize situations may not allow you to do this, but I was able dropp 1500 on a tent, lights, fans, exhaust and seeds. I made that back my first successful grow which took 4 months start to finish. I think I can top 2 pounds each successful grow making my money back end over in by growing.
Each grow you’ll learn a little more and it will get a little easier.
Good luck!
Thanks for all the feedback and insight, it’s appreciated. Tomorrow I will go to the hardware store and get more lamps and grow bulbs. Hopefully, I can increase the size of the buds given the time I have left with this grow. On a positive note, I clipped a sample bud a few days ago and the potency is defiantly there. This is personal use and I plan to turn this grow into vape oil.
One last question: based on the pictures that I have posted, would I be correct in assuming the plants still need a month or so, or could it be longer considering the light deficiency?
I am also going to change my light schedule to 24/0 for the remainder of the grow.
